Tomorrow is release day for Catherine Pooler Designs! Yay!! By far my most favorite product in the new Catherine Pooler release is the Marble Swirl stamp set!! It is different than anything I have in my stash and I have had the greatest time mixing and matching and trying different color combinations and different embossing powders, both solid and glittered with this stamp! It is a versatile enough background that it can be used on many, many different types of projects, those difficult masculine cards included!
Ridiculously Awesome
For this card I wanted to try the Marble Swirl stamp set on black cardstock to see how it would look. I pulled out some bright embossing powders and set to work!
The Marble Swirl stamp set comes with three main images (plus it has some sentiments & accessory images as well). I stamped one of the main marble images in VersaMark first and then embossed it. Then stamped the second image and embossed. I stamped the largest image on the right last. For that image I wanted to use two different colors of embossing powders so I inked up half of the image with VersaMark using my Misti and then embossed. I then inked up the 2nd half of the image, again using my Misti, and embossed the second color. It was easy to get four colors out of the three images.
Once I had the panel embossed, I used the new Blowing Bubbles Border die to cut out the scallop from the bottom of the panel. This left a great space for me to place the sentiment. I die cut the previously released Awesome die and embossed it with one of the powders I had used on the panel. I then stacked two more die cuts behind it to add dimension. I embossed the "ridiculously" from the new coordinating stamp set Awesome & Wonderful.
