Super Hero Dad

Father's Day is coming in a few weeks and sometimes making a masculine card can be a challenge for me.  The Superhero themed product line that Frantic Stamper just released is perfect for having the tools needed for many kinds of masculine cards.

Jen Carter Super Hero Man

This one is super simple.  I used the Super Hero Words Die to cut out the words in my cardstock. I put clear cardstock behind the words and then pieced the little pieces that had cut out of the words (like the part that finishes the "p" & "e" for example) to the cardstock.  (I used the clear cardstock because I had originally intended this to be a shaker card but then got ahead of myself and taped it down to my cardstock mat, oops!!  But I still like how it gives it a nice sheen, glossy look!)

I die cut the superhero and his cape with the Superhero Outlines die set and then stamped the super hero with the coordinating Superheros stamp set

I love this whole series of products and hope you do too!  If you'd like to check out the entire line, click here!

I hope you have a wonderful day!  Thanks for stopping by!

Masculine Birthday Fishing Card

With Mother's Day just past, our focus now turns toward the men in our life.  I don't know about you, but I find making masculine cards a little more challenging!  However, Frantic Stamper recently released some dies that are perfect for the fishermen/fisherwomen in your life!

This die called Dad's Catch was a fun die to paper piece with and it was easy to do, just poking out and inserting in the different patterned papers!  The sentiment is from the All in the Family stamp set and it has a lot of different options for creating sentiments!

My top navy layer I cut the circle out (using a general circle die) and then popped it up with foam tape so that it created a window for the die cut.  All in all, this was a simple card to put together!

Thanks for joining me today!  Have a great day!

I really like this new masculine set called Clean Lines: For the Guys stamps.  I love that there are options to stamp Papa (because that is what my kids call their grandpa!), Grampy, Pop, Dad, Brother, Grandpa, Husband, -in-law, Father & Uncle!  I mean seriously, how many stamp sets do you see with those options?  LOVE it!  For this card, I used most of the images in the set and lined them up on a block and stamped each row starting in a different spot each time.  I went back later and added the red needle on the fuel tank.

The two strips of paper on the bottom are from a FUN new paper line from Lil' Inker called Tribal Chic Paper Pack.  So many great pattern & color options in this pack! If you are a paper junky like me, you'll love it!  To create the tag I die cut one of the Pinking Edge Sentiment Flag dies and stamped a pattern from the Tribal Chic stamp set on the top & bottom.  The sentiment is stamped from the Clean Lines: For the Guys stamps.  I die cut the wrench from the Clean Lines: For the Guys die set and then stamped the coordinating image & popped it up.

Jen Carter Thanks so much Tribal Front 3 wm

My last card today uses some more patterns from the Tribal Chic Paper Pack that I've adhered on top of a piece of white cardstock that I've embossed the new Cover Up Die: Tribal Chic into.  It gives the Cover Up Die a softer look.

I die cut two of the Dual Stitched Triangle Dies and then used the Cover Up Die: Tribal Chic to die cut the pattern into them.  You can see the difference in this closeup between embossing with this die and die cutting with the die.  The sentiment is from the Vintage Label Sentiment set that I've embossed in white.
