I went with bright colors for this challenge.  I pulled out one of my favorite dies from Frantic Stamper called Elementals #14 Scalloped Square Basics.  This die cut the scalloped frame and the inside stitched square.  I then used the same die set to cut the little oval(ish) words out of patterned paper and then finished it off with some twine from The Twinery and a few sequnis from Pretty Pink Posh.

and now the sweet inside...

I used coordinating paper to match the front and then die cut the Lil' Inker Designs Hello Word die twice to give it a shadow.

The theme this week is "Sweet Inside" which means to decorate the outside AND inside of your card.  You can choose to use the cupcake graphic for inspiration if you'd like but you don't have to, as long as your card or project fits the theme.

I hope you'll join us this week for the Cupcake Inspirations Challenge #373!  Thanks for stopping by!

Hello (or goodbye?) Summer

Jen Carter Hello Summer Fishing Front

Summer is winding down (school starts this week!) and so I thought I better share this card before I have to wait a year, LOL!  This was an easy card to put together! I  used a piece of patterned paper for the background and just added the Fishing Pole die from Frantic Stamper and a few strips of patterned paper at the top!  Easy Peasy!

Cupcake Inspirations Challenge #371

Welcome to the next Cupcake Inspirations Challenge #371!  This week the challenge is to use the theme Shine Bright on your card!  Our sponsor this week and the prize is from Neat & Tangled Stamps. All of the details, including prize information, can be found on the Cupcakes Inspiration blog.  I hope you'll be able to play along!

CIC371 Jen Carter

For the "Shine Bright" theme this week I thought of sunshine.  I LOVE Neat & Tangled's Scandinavian Prints stamp set (with coordinating dies).  When I was looking at the stamp set I thought that one of the flower stamps looked like a whimsical sun so I started there.  To make the clouds, I die cut the largest flower from the die set out of the blue patterned paper and then cut it in half.  It made a great cloud shape!  I found several bright patterned papers to die cut my flowers with and on the blue ones I stamped images from the set on the paper.  The mats were die cut from a die set found here and here. The grass and sentiment is also from the Scandinavian Prints stamp set.

The theme this week is "Shine Bright".  You can choose to use the cupcake graphic for inspiration if you'd like but you don't have to, as long as your theme has something to do with "Shine Bright".

I hope you'll join us this week for the Cupcake Inspirations Challenge #371!  Thanks for stopping by!

Hugs!

Welcome to the next Cupcake Inspirations Challenge #370!  This week the challenge is to use the color scheme shown on the inspiration graphic on your card.  Our sponsor this week and the prize is from The Stamping Boutique. All of the details, including prize information, can be found on the Cupcakes Inspiration blog.  I hope you'll be able to play along!

For my card today I used the digital image from The Stamping Boutique called Daisy Rope.  After die cutting the circle using a stitched circle die, I colored the image in with copic markers based on the colors for this week's inspiration challenge.  The white background I gave some texture by die cutting with a quilted swirl die.

Isn't that daisy chain so cute?  I added the die cut sentiment, Hugs, cut from patterned paper.

Here's this week's inspiration photo with the challenge colors.

Out of this World

Jen Carter Alien Out World Front 5

Hello!  Today's card is one I put together a while ago but have yet to share here on my blog.  I had a lot of fun with this card!  I started by cutting the silhouetted San Francisco Cityscape and adding it to my cardfront.  I tucked a beam die cut from Ombre paper and the Sunburst Card Panel die under the cityscape.

Jen Carter Alien Out World Closeup 1

The UFO was created with the Flying Saucer die which is such a fun, unique die! I put one of the alien monsters in the UFO stamped with the Monster Mash Up stamp set & cut with the coordinating dies.  The stamp set is from one of my personal favorites, Sentiments from Space.

Thanks for stopping by today!  I hope you enjoyed the card!

A Very Warm Welcome

Jen Carter Wreath Warm Welcome 2

Hey everyone!  For today's card I used Lil' Inker Designs Fringe Scalloped Square Dies to create my frame and then used striped patterned paper behind it.  I die cut the wreath & the vellum banner with the Warm Welcome Dies.  I stamped the flowers from the coordinating Warm Welcome stamp set.  The Welcome is die cut with dark gray cardstock.

I'm entering this in the Muse Challenge #177.  This is the inspiration card.

Thanks for joining me today!  Have a great week!
