We need some fireworks today to celebrate the arrival of the new year...2020!
To first create my sunset background sky I blended three ink colors together: Sauna, Coral Cabana & Party Dress on Premium White Cardstock.
I made the fireworks using sea shell stamps (I know, crazy right!) from the Catherine Pooler Designs stamp set She Sells Sea Shells. One of the layers for the top of the shell looks like a firework for me so I ran with that idea. I embossed the fireworks with white embossing powder right on top of my blended background and then added a clear Crater Lake sequin (my go to sequins!) to each center. I also added some star clumps from the Oh My, It's July stamp set and embossed those in white as well.
I used the Sunshine Word die to die cut that large sentiment. I cut off the "sun" part of the sentiment to create the word shine. It was a very easy trim to get that! I then stamped the rest of the sentiment using the Oh My, It's July stamp set.
This stamps set, Oh My, It's July, may be one you're not familiar with. It is from the Canvo Bullet Journaling line and not part of the regular releases. I LOVE this stamp set & the sentiments! Check it out if you haven't yet. It pairs very nicely with the Scatter Sunshine stamp set & dies. I'm always looking for ways to stretch my supplies and also looking for products that work well with each other and this is a great complimentary stamp set...even if you don't bullet journal like myself.
