If you joined me on my blog yesterday you know there's a new Catherine Pooler Design's Release heading your way soon called In the Kitchen. It has a wide variety of products included in it but some of them have a retro spin on them, just like the sneak peek I have today! I can remember using phones just like these that are included in the new Call Me Stamp Set, when I was younger! The funny thing is that we have a phone in the school office where I work and even though you push the numbers on the phone and you don't actually dial them I still have to explain almost daily how to USE the phone! "Yes, pick up the handset!" "No, you don't have to dial the dashes." "Yes, put that handset up to your ear." LOL! This is a TRUE story! I kid you not! I do it almost daily! 😂
I created a small black & white border at the bottom of my card to ground the phones. I used Midnight ink & the new Loop Braid Stencil to make it. I used post-it note tape to mask off where I didn't want my ink to go. I then stamped the phones, cords & handsets from the Call Me Stamp Set in Orange Twist, Aquatini & Sauna inks. I stamped the numbers in black ink. I stamped the speech bubble & embossed the sentiment, also from the same stamp set, and then die cut it with the Call Me Dies.
I couldn't leave them hanging so on the inside I finished the sentiment off. I stamped the speech bubble in Sauna ink and then stamped the sentiment, from the Call Me Stamp Set, in black. I also used the Loop Braid Stencil with Midnight ink on the bottom of this panel as well.
The In the Kitchen Release hits the Catherine Pooler Store on Wednesay, January 29th at 9 AM EST unless you are a StampNation member and then you get to shop early! StampNation ordering begins at Noon EST on Tuesday, January 28th.
