Today is Release Day at Catherine Pooler Designs! YAY! I am sharing a sneak peek today and the release will go live today, Wednesday, January 29th at 9 AM EST.
It's no secret that I love lots of color and love using rainbows on my cards. When I saw this new stamp set, called Geo Curves, my mind immediately went to rainbows! Big surprise huh!?
I first took my Geo Curves Stamp Set and decided to doctor the stamps slightly. Disclaimer here, I am not telling you to do this, you can mask if you'd like to do something similar but don't want to cut your stamps! I found it very easy but if you get squeamish with cutting your stamps then please don't do this, LOL! For me, I found that there was a lot of space in between each of these curved stamps and using my very sharp Cutter Bee scissors I was able to snip the pieces with zero issues. I did not trim them after I cut them apart and then they fit right back together like they were intended. I made a video to show you this process that I posted yesterday. You can find it here.
Ok, moving on! I used two of the stamps from the set to make the rainbow. I started with the stamp from one of the two I cut apart and stamped it and then used the stamp designed to stamp in between it that I had cut and kept doing that until I got to the bottom. (I have a video coming with more details on how I did this.) I stamped my rainbow in Be Mine, Pink Champagne, Orange Peel, Shea Butter, Garden Party, Hot Tub & Sweet Sixteen inks.
Once I had my rainbow stamped I created a window with the new Stitched Square Dies. I then attached the two together (and realized I got it a little off center, but oh well! 😀) and die cut one of the fun new Happy x Three Dies (you'll want these!!) and attached it to the card. The sentiment is from another new set called So Happy Sentiments Stamp Set. I added some Crater Lake Sequins to finish the card off.
