Puffins Baby Book + New Inks = Catherine Pooler Waves of Happiness Peek #3

Welcome back for another day of sneak peeks from the latest Catherine Pooler Designs Release called Waves of Happiness!

I have another sneak peek for you today and this time I decided to pair it with a baby gift.  I LOVE to always give a book for a baby shower.  There is so much importance in reading to your child and getting that started early!  There are quite a few cute puffin books on the market that coordinate with the Puffin Party Stamp Set perfectly but this one is a board book and is perfect for a little baby and can grow with the child!  The next shower I go to will be gifted with this adorable book and the matching tag!

Here is the tag attached to the white bag.  Simple but so cute!

Here is a closeup of the tag so you can see the details.  I die cut the tag using the largest tag in the Layered Tags Die Set.  I die cut it once from the Seaside Pattern Paper and once from vellum.  On the vellum I embossed a sentiment from the Puffin Party Stamp Set in white embossing powder, leaving room for the Puffin.  I then die cut the Rocky Cove Die and cut it down to fit on the bottom of my tag.  I wanted a strip of "water" so I blended Bay Breeze Ink on to a strip of cardstock and then attached sequins from the Portsmouth Sequin Mix using glue dots to adhere.  I colored the Puffin with Copics.  Lastly, I attached some Tuxedo Turquoise Twine and Grass Green Twine to the top and tied it.  

Here's a closeup of the Portsmouth Sequins on the bottom strip of the card. I used a piece from the Mod Strips Cover Plate Die to create the base for the sequins.

And of course the tag & the book together!  Makes a fun gift!  It would be adorable with a Puffin or penguin outfit, toy or blanket!
