The World Needs Your Light!

Hey everyone!! It's summer break now in Kansas, even though the temps don't seem to agree with that!  It's been a little chilly & wet this week for this time of the year.  Today I wanted to share this summery card with you.  

I actually made this card about a year ago and have never shared it!  Isn't that crazy?  LOL!  This one was fairly simple to put together.  For the stamped strip, I used the Mason Jar stamp from the Oh My, It's July Stamp Set and stamped it four times in a row in Mint to Be, Sweet Sixteen,  Bellini and Shea Butter Ink.  Then I stamped the contents of the jar in Twilight Ink and took more of the Shea Butter Ink to blend a little glow around the contents.  The sentiment is from the same stamp set.   For the scalloped border of this card I used the Bordering Sweet Border Dies.  I popped the stamped strip up with dimensional tape.

Puffins! + New Inks = Waves of Happiness Catherine Pooler Release Day!

Woohoo!! It's release day for the latest collection from Catherine Pooler Designs called Waves of Happiness! 

The release goes live in the shop this morning May 12th at 9 AM EST.  The new products are linked in this post, but please note that the links will not be live until ordering opens.

Today's sneak peek shows many of the products I've shared on my last few cards plus adds in the new Making Waves Background that I stamped in two new ink colors, Sea Glass and Bay Breeze on this card.

After stamping the background, I created the cove.  I blended Bay Breeze, Sea Glass, Twilight & Black Jack ink onto two pieces of Premium White Cardstock and then die cut them each with the Rocky Cove Die. I then cut one of those die cut pieces apart so I could stack them to create dimension.  I then sprayed some water on those pieces to create a water drop effect.  The sentiment is stamped in Bay Breeze and is from the Puffin Party Stamp Set.  The crab & starfish are also from that set and they are stamped in Sauna and Samba Inks.

I stamped the Puffin from the Puffin Party Stamp Set & die cut him with the coordinating dies. The gray shadowing is from Copics and his beak is from the ink colors listed below. I also added a little party hat from the same stamp set.  So cute!
