Be Fearless Vellum Frame

I wanted to share a card that I made when the Tropically Treasures products were first available as a Stamp of Approval Collection.  Now they are all in the Catherine Pooler store as individual products just in time for the summer months!  The post with all of the details can be found on Catherine's blog that is linked below.  I've also linked the supply list for the card underneath the sneak peek photo.  

Be Fearless
For this card I made a vellum frame and you can see the palm trees behind it.  I had so much fun putting this card together (and it's a tad different from what you might usually see from me).

Flamingos all the Way! with Catherine Pooler New Release

Today I am sharing a card that I really love.  It was inspired by a birthday sign that I found online and decided that I could recreate a similar look with the new Catherine Pooler products in card form.  Have you checked out all of the new release products from Catherine Pooler Designs yet?  You can see them all here.

Follow Your Soul It Knows the Way

For this card I started by stamping all of the individual flowers with the Tropically Yours stamp set and then die cut them with the coordinating Tropically Yours dies.  I also stamped, colored (with a water pen & inks) & die cut the flamingo from the Stand Tall stamp set & coordinating Stand Tall dies.  Once I had all of the individual pieces ready to go I then laid them on my card front to get a feel for how I wanted to lay the rest of the card out.  I first stamped the sentiment from the Fearless Pursuit stamp set and then stamped the leaf images from the Leave Me in Paradise stamp set around it.  I added the flowers on top, most adhered with dimensional tape.  I made sure to leave room for the flamingo.

The flamingo is popped up with dimensional tape, which I admit took some patience to cut the tape thin enough for the legs. 😀  But it was worth it in the end.  After everything was pretty much finished I took the stamp from the Fearless Pursuit stamp set with the 3 little dots and stamped it to fill in holes around the card.  

One more finishing touch to the card was that that flamingo needed a flower in her hair so I used one from the Tropically Yours stamp set.

This was such a fun card to make!
