Passion for Papertrey Sketch

I am SO honored to be the May Featured Stamper for the A Passion for Papertrey blog!  If you have never visited this blog before, you are in for a treat!!  This blog is operated by Kate, Aimes and Caryn who all live in the UK and became friends thanks to their mutual love of all things Papertrey.  They are all 3 very talented stampers!

The first challenge for May is to create a card based on the following sketch:
That's such a fun sketch, huh!  I turned the sketch on its side when I created my card.

For this card I couldn't resist pulling out one of my favorite color combinations, pure poppy & aqua mist with a neutral mixed in...and I also couldn't resist adding a little yellow too.  This color combo has always drawn me in and I love working with it!

The patterned paper is from one of my favorite PTI pads, Bitty Box Basics (I sure wouldn't mind if they had this paper in ALL the PTI colors!) and the border strips were die cut with the Simple Circles border die which is quickly becoming a favorite die because it is so versatile!  Throw in a Parisian Lace doily and some paper flowers and you have a quick & simple card!

Thank you so much for visiting my blog today!! If you'd like to participate in this challenge, visit A Passion for Papertrey blog for all the details!  I can't wait to see what everyone creates!

Supplies (all PTI unless noted)
Stamps: Tag It's 1, Signature Series: Butterfly
Paper: Rustic White, Lemon Tart, Bitty Box Paper Aqua Mist & Pure Poppy
Ink: Aqua Mist & Pure Poppy
Other: Parisian Lace Doily Die, Simple Circles Border Die, Circle Punch, Paper Flowers by Recollections

I say it to you all the time, Jen. This is such a good card! I love the bitty box papers and the new circle die. Paired with a doily, it was perfect. I had never heard of this group and plan to check it out as soon as I log off here. Great job.

Congrats Jen!!! Love your use of the border die. I didn't think I'd use it much, but it's definitely going on my wishlist now :)
