Gold & Silver Crafty Kits

Hello!  Today I am sharing cards that I made for the Crafty Peeps Card Kit Club.  This is the last kit from our group!  Cheryl Knutti sent us a great package of products filled with gold & silver!  I made three CAS cards to share with you today.

Jen Carter Gold Striped Celebrate Card

Cheryl sent us some beautiful papers to work with.  Everything on this card was already cut out and ready for me.  All I had to do was use the various pieces in some way.

I love the gold against the black background!

Jen Carter Gold Snowflake Thank You Card

I really like pink & gold together so I was thrilled to see that Cheryl had included a piece of pink cardstock in the kit!

I embossed part of the vellum snowflake with a gold glitter embossing powder.  I love how that turned out!

Jen Carter Gold Striped Wish Big Card

And for my last card I took the gold & silver striped cardstock pieces and cut them into thin stripes.  Then I assembled them in various patterns on my cardbase.  It made an interesting pattern for this card.

I put some glittery gold enamel dots from my stash on top of the vellum stars to help hide the adhesive.  Sometimes hiding that adhesive can get a little tricky!

Thank you for vising today!  I hope you have a wonderful day!

Crafty Peeps Card Kit: August

Hey everyone!  Today is my son's 12th birthday and we've been celebrating!  He got his present from us a little early this year.  Thursday he went with his dad to the Kansas City Chiefs pre-season game!  Fun!  I can't believe that he is already 12 and that next year we'll have a teen in the house.  Ouch! Where has the time gone?

I'm a little late with my post today and I apologize!  I got so wrapped up in the birthday boy that I forgot to get my post for the Crafty Peeps Card Kit ready!  I have four cards that I made with the kit that Maggie Haas sent.  I love the colors and papers and embellishments that she sent!

Happy Birthday

Since I have birthdays on my mind, I created this card with that theme.  I love the colors and papers!

The Best Friend

Maggie stamped some fun flowers for us to use in nice, bright colors just like I like!  And she threw in some mint, another favorite!  I love these colors with a splash of black!

I really liked the paper patterns that I got.  This one was no exception!  What a fun mixture of colors and patterns!

Love

And another really fun paper pattern!  Again, I love these colors with a pop of black!

Thanks Maggie for such a fun kit!  It was fun to play with!

Crafty Peeps Card Kit So Cool!

Hi everyone!  I hope your summer is going well!  Today I am sharing a post with a couple cards made with the kit that my friend Leigh Penner sent for the Crafty Peeps Card Club!   I loved the colors in this kit!  It was a kit that called for some masculine cards, which I tend to need but never have on hand.

I knew as soon as I saw this paper that the first card I made had to use this paper in some way!  Leigh also included this cute sentiment from Reverse Confetti that was begging to be paired with the fans!

I added in some enamel dots and a cute little wooden sprinkle from Jillibean Soup.

Another item that Leigh included in the kit that I knew I had to incorporate in a card were these cute wooden shapes.  They worked well with the die cut sentiments (don't you love that "hello" from Simon Says Stamp?).  I die cut the circles with Lil' Inker Designs Dual Stitched Circles dies.

I added in one of the buttons Leigh sent and some enamel dots.
Be sure to stop by Leigh's blog to see what her and her sweet daughter Sage put together!

I'm linking these cards up over at the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge!  The theme this week is Father's Day/Masculine Cards!

Thanks for stopping by!

Picture Perfect! With Crafty Peeps Card Kit

Hello!  I hope you all had a wonderful Easter weekend! I know I did!  We enjoyed a great time of worship Sunday morning and celebrated that our King has risen!  What a wonderful reminder of what my faith is all about!

Today I am here to share three cards I've made with the latest card kit for the Crafty Peeps Card Kit Club!  Our host this month is Kristii Lockart! I LOVED this kit!  So many fun papers and embellishments!

My first card is also my favorite!  I cut a small strip out of the patterned paper and inserted another piece from the collection underneath.  I made a Polaroid frame of sorts for the camera.  I loved the little cork board heart that Kristii included!  So cute!

I wanted to use as many papers from the collection as I could for this card but I also wanted to keep the focus on that gorgeous "thanks" die cut!  I placed of piece of PTI vellum over the paper where the die cut word would go.  I really like that you can still see the papers but they are muted enough that they don't take away from the word.

This last card is super clean & simple.  I used the fun frilly frame as the focus and built the rest of the elements around it.
