Shine Bright + April Showers Bring Catherine Pooler Release

It's new release time at Catherine Pooler Designs for the April Showers Bring Release!  The new products will go live in the shop on Wednesday, April 14th at 9 AM EST or if you are a StampNation member you will be able to shop early on Tuesday, April 13th at Noon EST!

The card I made for today's sneak peek just might be my favorite because...rainbows! :)  

For this colorful card I used the new, and in my opinion must have, die called Sunburst Strips Cover Plate.  Oh my goodness.  I love this thing!  I already have another similar card started using the left over pieces from this card and could make 6 more just with the other pieces!  I used colored cardstock from my stash for this card but you could also easily make your own Catherine Pooler colored strips by using ink direct to paper!  (I'd recommend using Grape Crush, Serenade, Pucker Up, Orange Peel, Limoncello, Aquatini, & Fiesta Blue).  I also used a piece of gold glitter paper for one of the rays.

After adhering the individual rays, I popped up the glitter piece with dimensional tape.  A note about this die is that the die is designed larger that an A2 card front so it is super easy to get these pieces lined up!  Just cut off what you don't need. 

The sentiment is created by stacking die cuts from the new Shine Bright Word Die on top of each other for dimension.  I used black underneath and white on top.  All in all this is a very simple card to put together once you get the die cutting finished.
