Hello, hello!! It's that time of the month again for a Mini Release from Catherine Pooler Designs called Spring Garden. This release is full of florals and cute, spring images that you'll enjoy after a long, cooped up winter! I don't know about you but I'm ready to say hello to the fresh outdoors!
The release will go live in the shop on Wednesday, March 10th at 9 AM EST or if you are a StampNation member you will be able to shop early on Tuesday, March 9th at Noon EST!
Today I am excited to share with you a BEAUTIFUL cover plate die, called Peony in Bloom, that was so much fun to work with! I got two cards out of one die and I'll share the second one with you tomorrow!
This card might look more complicated than it actually was! I took two pieces of white cardstock and a CP Blending Brush and blended Sangria Ink over the top half of the cardstock and then on the second piece I blended a combination of Spruce and Seafoam Ink over the bottom. I then die cut each with the beautiful new Peony in Bloom Cover Plate Die. I die cut three more pieces of white cardstock with this die as well so that I could stack them on top of each other for dimension.
I laid the blended die cut pieces inside the stacked white pieces and pushed them to the bottom (I used scotch tape on the backside to hold them in place). I attached all of that to a card base that I had blended Shea Butter Ink starting at the top and working down toward the bottom where I left the cardstock white. You can also see on this picture that I used a glitter pen to add some shine to the flower in the center.
The sentiment is from a sweet stamp set called Lovely Birdies and it just fit perfectly in the open space!
