Today I'm sharing another sneak peek from the next Catherine Pooler Release Nordic Wood which will be available to purchase on Wednesday, October 28th at 9 AM EST. If you are a StampNation member, you get early access and can shop Tuesday, October 27th at Noon EST.
The new Alpine Village Stamp Set has me singing songs from The Sound of Music all day long! :)
I wanted to use some of the smaller images from the Alpine Village Stamp Set so I chose to use just the trees. I stamped several of the trees and then die cut them with the coordinating dies. The color scheme I used was: Sweet Sixteen, Spruce, Rockin' Red, It's a Girl, Stone Blue & Garden Party.
For the background I stamped some of the images from the Nordic Stars Stamp Set in VersaMark and then embossed them with Wow! White Puff Twinkle Embossing Powder. It's hard to see the sparkle & dimension in the picture but it's pretty cool in real life! I stamped the sentiment using Pixie Dust Ink from the Alpine Village Stamp Set on a piece of cardstock that I had die cut the edge with using one of the Morning Joe Border Dies. I wrapped a small piece of Cookies & Cream Twine around the sentiment strip.
To make the snowy hills I used the Melon Edge Die Set. On the bottom piece I covered it with VersaMark ink and then poured Wanderlust Embossing Powder over it and then heat embossed it. It made my own custom glitter paper!
