There's a new release coming to the Catherine Pooler store on Wednesday, March 18th (or March 17th if you are a StampNation member!). I've had a blast playing with this release! I hope you don't get tired of rainbows by the end of the sneak peeks!
Many Saturdays as a young girl my mom would take me roller skating in Newton, KS which was just down the road from where I grew up. I LOVED to go skating and many years this is what we did for my birthday party too. I remember one particular Saturday my mom was talking to my grandma on the phone and she thought I had the chicken pox. I was so mad at her because she wouldn't take me skating! Well, it ended up I did have the chicken pox and that turned into a pretty miserable week. 😉 Regardless, roller skating was one of my favorite things to do back then!

For this card I stamped the new At the Rink Background (available 3/18/20) in black ink. I then used copic markers to color in the wheels and some of the illustrations on the skates & background. I took a piece of vellum and embossed the sentiment from the new Let the Good Times Roll stamp set with black embossing powder. I used copics (on the back side of the vellum) to color in the sentiment.
It is sometimes difficult knowing how to attach vellum without adhesive showing and on this card I did it two ways. I used vellum tape adhesive under the sentiment. I also used glue dots on some of the roller skate wheels to hold the vellum in place.
