And there's 4 new ink colors too! Yippee!! Check out my recent blog post showing the new colors stamped out with a brand new background stamp.

Hello Sweet Friend
The new Fluttering Friends stamp set is simply adorable!  As soon as I saw it I knew it would be so cute on cards.

Fluttering Friends Jen Carter

I started by first stamping the bird and leaves from the Fluttering Friends stamp set and then die cut with the coordinating Fluttering Friends dies.  I colored the images with copics.  I blended the background using Life Changing Brushes and Limencello, Mint to Be, Seafoam & Aquatini inks. I wanted the bird to be on a perch of some kind so I die cut a tree "branch" from the Winter Woodland die set and then stamped it in Over Coffee ink with the coordinating tree image in the Winter Woodland stamp set.  The sentiments, I'm in love with that font!, are also from the Fluttering Friends stamp set. I used some striped black & white paper from the Black Tie Gala patterned paper pack to give the card a little more contrast.

A Wonderful Time is Ahead!
For this next card I was inspired by this photo on Pinterest and ran with it.

Just Wonderful Floral Apples Jen Carter

There are so many ways that you can use the new Just Wonderful Floral stamps.  For this card I turned them into fruit!  I stamped the various apples or peaches or whatever you see 😁 with Lemongrass, Coral Cabana, Pixie Dust & Be MineThe sentiment is from the same stamp set.

Just Wonderful Floral Apples Jen Carter Closeup 2

The leaves were stamped with Mint to Be ink and highlighted with Midnight accents here and there.  I used the leaf images from both the Just Wonderful Floral stamp set and the Be Wild stamp set.  I get the leaves to be textured on the fruit stems I inked the stamp in the color I wanted and then "kissed" it onto a patterned leaf image and then stamped. I created a video to show this process in more detail.

Wow, you kick started my brain with the kissing technique. I've used it but never thought about using it with layering stamps. I like the simplicity of using only the one ink color .
