A Hug in a Mug
What's a better way to celebrate a birthday with a coffee loving friend than with a coffee card!

I started by die cutting the Quilted Stitched XOXO die into the yellow cardstock.  This die is awesome and can be used for so much more than just love or valentine's day cards!  I die cut the Coffee Talk 2 dies out of patterned cardstock and pieced my mug and steam together.  The coffee in the mug is a piece of woodgrain paper that I had on hand.  It makes a creamy looking coffee without any work on my part!  I die cut a piece of green patterned paper with one of the Dual Dotted Rectangle dies and then stamped the sentiment from Coffee Talk 2 stamps in Something Borrowed ink.

Once I placed the "coffee" in the cup I also took a Nuvo glitter pen and went over the paper to get a little bit of shimmer.  I popped the coffee mug up with foam tape and also die cut three of the steam pieces and glued them together for dimension.

Circle of Congrats (+ new release + sale!)

Not only is Catherine Pooler Designs having a Back to Basics sale but there are also three new stamp sets releasing!  They were originally released in the Foundations Box which has since been discontinued and are now available for sale individually. Yay!

I'm sharing this card over on Instagram, so I hope you'll join me over there and follow the hop that the design team has put together!

I love lots of color with black & white accents!  It is always such a striking combo!  I stamped the congrats stamp from the newly released Spot on stamp set in It's a Boy, Lime Rickey, Be Mine, Flirty Fuchsia & Rockin' Red (linked individually below) overlapping each circle as I went.  I stamped the Hooray! sentiment also from the same set.  The black & white striped paper is from my favorite paper pad, Black Tie Gala.  I used some black twine to tie around the panel and added some sequins for a little bling.

Just Because (New Stamps & a Sale!)

Hello!! There's a new release over at Catherine Pooler Designs with 3 new stamp sets and it's even on sale!! There are some inks on sale too!

Just Because
Isn't it nice to have some generic cards in your stash sometimes for those "just because" moments?  For this card using the new Amazing Florals stamp set, I wanted to make a card that could be used for many different times and occassions.

I love the flowers in the Amazing Florals set!  I stamped the florals on white cardstock with Coral Cabana, All that Jazz, Party Dress, Bellini, Twilight & Lime Rickey inks.  I then embossed the centers of the coral flowers with Wanderlust Embossing Powder (love that stuff)!  I attached the stamped piece to Smoke & Mirrors cardstock at an angle with foam adhesive.  The sentiment is from the Amazing Florals stamp set too.  To accent the sentiment piece I stamped the stripes with a stamp from the For Everything stamp set and attached it with foam adhesive.
