Hello! I've mentioned before how much I love sunflowers! Being a Kansas girl it's hard not to appreciate the beauty of the sunflowers in the fields and of wild sunflowers growing in the ditches in the fall.
Here's my daughter last July in a Kansas sunflower field just a few miles from our house. A sunflower field is such a gorgeous site!
I previously shared a sunflower card I had made using the Right at Home stamps and Catherine Pooler inks on my blog. Today I want to share a sunflower card set that I made using the same products.
For all of my cards I'm sharing today I kept a very similar format, just changed the positioning and colors slightly for each card. The basic products are: Catherine Pooler inks & Right at Home Watercolor Background Stamp, Sunflower Stamp set & Sunflower dies & the Script Greetings stamp set. The products I used are all linked at the end of this post.
Card Set #1
For this set of cards I stamped the must-have Right at Home Watercolor Background Stamp in Mint to Be ink & Polished ink. (Products are linked at the end of the post.) I LOVE this background stamp! It looks awesome stamped in black too! :) I die cut and stamped the sunflowers using Right at Home's Sunflower Stamp set & Sunflower dies. For the top card I stamped in: Mint to Be, All that Jazz, Garden Party, Lime Rickey & Icing on the Cake inks. On the 2nd card I stamped in: Polished, Tutti Frutti, Lime Rickey, Grass Skirt, Garden Party & Icing on the Cake inks. The sentiments come from the Right at Home Script Greetings stamp set which I just LOVE!
Card Set #2
For this set the colors I used for the backgrounds are Garden Party & Tiara. For the top card the colors I stamped the sunflower in (very non-traditional colors!) are: Shea Butter, Sauna, Lime Rickey, Grass Skirt & Icing on the Cake. For the bottom card I used: It's a Girl, Rose Petals, Garden Party, Lime Rickey & Icing on the Cake.
Card Set #3
For this set the colors I used for the backgrounds are Lime Rickey & Aquatini. For the top card the colors I stamped the sunflower in Pixie Dust, Royal Treatment, Garden Party, Lime Rickey & Icing on the Cake. For the bottom card I used: It's a Girl, Party Dress, Garden Party, Lime Rickey & Aquatini.
Yes, I do know that sunflowers are yellow, but I just can't help playing with lots of color! 😃 One tip I'd share is for these cards I used both of my Misti's (you don't need two but since I have 2 sizes I used both) to get the sunflowers lined up and then I did it assembly line style where I stamped each color and then switched to the next color and stamped again. It made it much easier to keep the sunflower pieces lined up.
Thank you so much for joining me today! Hope it is a great day!
