Grads, Weddings and a Giveaway Too!

It's that time of the year when weddings will be happening more frequently and students will be graduating.  In honor of that I have two cards to share today AND a giveaway for leaving a comment!  More details about that below.

Edit: This just in!

Many of the products I've used on this post are on sale until 9 PM EST on April 10, 2018!  Shop here now!

You Did It!
I'm always looking for fun but easy cards to use for graduation.  This year I'm thinking ahead because we have quite a few that we'll be attending this year.  I like cards that I can mass produce but also use school cards on each one to individualize them as needed.

Jen Carter CP You Did It Perfect Reason Graduation

Our school colors are orange and black so I knew I wanted to use those colors for this card.  As I was looking at the gorgeous floral stamps in the Perfect Reason stamp set I start visualizing how I could use this set differently and this card was created.  I used the pieces to the flowers for different elements on the background stamping them in black & Orange Twist ink.   I took a piece of Midnight cardstock & embossed the fun sentiment from the You Did It! stamp set in white and attached it to the panel with dimensional tape.  For the right edge of the card I used a small piece of Black Tie Gala patterned paper.

Wedding Congrats
I have a wedding to attend next weekend and so this card was made with that in mind.  Again as I was looking at the stamps I wanted to use them in an unexpected way.
Jen Carter CP You Did It Paisley Peacock Wedding 1

I started by stamping the Congrats from the You Did It! Stamp set in the middle of my card panel with All that Jazz Ink.  I stamped over that again, using my Misti, with VersaMark ink and embossed it using the best embossing powder Wanderlust.  I just love how you can still see the ink underneath but it adds a layer of glitter over the top!  I then used quite a few of the stamps in the Paisley Peacock stamp set to stamp the paisleys & leaves around the outside edge of the panel.  I used a BG49 copic marker to add a touch of color to the inside of the leaf-like image.  For the middle layer I cut a piece of white cardstock a part and layered it on top of a Midnight cardstock base.  I attached the Congrats panel to the top with dimensional tape.

Giveaway Details!

Up for grabs is one Perfect Reason Stamp & Die Bundle.  All you have to do is leave a comment on this post by Saturday, April 14th.  One commenter will be picked randomly to win!  This giveaway is eligible for US residents only.

Thank you so much for joining me today!

Hi Jennifer. I love both of your cards. I love how you only used two colors. I always forget that cards can look just as beautiful with only a couple of colors. I am also following you on Instagram too. Thanks sharing your cards. Great inspiration in my card making.

Thank you for sharing your card. I was looking at this stamp set only from the aspect of making flowers. I have to laugh at myself since I love abstract art, and do a lot of tangling; you would of thought that those aspect would have jumped out at me. Now I have even more reasons to really like this stamp set. I am grateful for the opportunity to win this stamp set with your giveaway. Many thanks!
