Welcome to the Watercolor Blog Hop! This challenge is all about using watercolors on a card or project.
For my card today I started by die cutting a piece of white watercolor paper using a die from Lil' Inker Designs called Dual Dotted Rectangles. Then, I took my watercolor paints and started painting an ombre like scene at the bottom with my water pen. I used some flower dies also cut from watercolor paper using Awesome Blossom dies from Lil' Inker. I used my aquacolor crayons to scribble the colors on an old CD case, spritzed them with water and then picked the colors up and colored with a water pen. The sentiment is from a set called Paint Your Canvas. I love the sentiments in that set!
I also added a touch of glitter to parts of the water colored scene for just a little extra glimmer. It has such a pretty sparkle to it in real life. I also adhered Pretty Pink Posh's 4 mm & 6 mm Sparkling Clear sequins to the center of the flower and on the card front.
One more watercolor creation to share. This one I've had sitting on my desk for a while and it seemed like a great time to share it.
It is so much fun creating little canvas's with this Canvas die! I die cut it from watercolor paper, colored on it with my watercolors and then heat embossed the sentiment from Paint Your Canvas onto the front. It is such a fun little addition to my stamping area (plus it is a fun gift too)! :) (The easel is found here.)
I'm entering my card in the Sparkle & Shine Challenge based on the above inspiration photo & am also entering it in Virgina's View Challenge which has an ombre theme as well!
