Bloom

Market Street Stamps is having a Block Party to celebrate their new release and I decided to play along!

The challenge was to create any card using Market Street Stamps.

I used most of the MSS that I have!  I stamped the grid background & the carrots/ground from the Homegrown set with Amuse's Fern ink and the sun with Amuse Buttercup ink!  Let's pause right here for a commercial break...

Amuse Inks...no I don't sell them but I bought a few with birthday money and I LOVE them so far!  I bought colors that matched PTI and I love, love, love the way that the ink looks!  It makes such a nice crisp image, they are gorgeous, gorgeous colors! If you need some good inks, give Amuse a try!

...commercial break over! :)

Here's a closeup.  I used The Twinery's Mandarin twine to stitch the carrots.  I love how they look plump and ready to pick!  I also tied a strand of Denim twine around the grass to add another pop of color.  The grass is cut with Amuse Sage felt (have to recommend the felt too!  It is thinner than PTI's but cuts really well!)  using PTI's In the Meadow die.

To create the sun, I used the Market Street Stamps Here Comes the Sun background stamp and stamped just a portion of it on my panel.  It was such a perfect fit!  I love how I can use the whole stamp as a background or just a part of it for smaller areas!

I hope you had a great weekend!! Thank you for coming by!

The Twinery & Market Street Stamps Blog Hop

Welcome to The Twinery & Market Street Stamps blog hop!  If you are following along in the hop you should have come here from Julie Day's Blog!

This is a 2-day hop and there are prizes up for grabs!

One Twinery Ultimate Sampler Pack (retail value $25)

One Market Street Stamps $25 Shopping Spree

To be eligible to win, you must visit each blog each day and leave a comment on each post no later than Friday, November 25th.  Prize winners will be drawn at random and will be announced Saturday, November 26th on both TheTwinery and Market Street Stamps Blogs.

For my project, I got to work with the fun & fabulous Market Street Stamps Home Grown set!

This set has this wonderful lawn mower in it that is perfect for masculine cards! I don't know about you, but I find it difficult to find images that I like for masculine cards!  Do you see that sun image behind the lawnmower?  That is from a Market Street Stamp background called Here Comes the Sun.  Another favorite of mine!

I had such a great time creating this grass for the lawn mower to mow with the Honeydew twine from The Twinery.  I placed my ATG adhesive on a strip of cardstock and then looped the twine on the cardstock.  I cut off the bottom loops to make the bottom of the grass.  For the top of the grass, I cut off the part that the mower "mowed" and then left the rest of the grass tall.  Most of the grass I left in loops, but some of it I cut the loops and left it as tall strands of grass which mixed up the look a little.

I hope you enjoyed my card!! Thank  you for visiting today! Your next stop on the blog hop is my Twinery team member Tifany DeGough who just also happens to be a design team member with Market Street Stamps too!

Be sure to leave me a comment so that you will be eligible to win one of the two fabulous prizes!

Hey everyone!! I can't thank you enough for all of you who have voted for me over at the Market Street Stamps Block PartyToday is the last day to vote!  I was wondering if I could bother you to head over to the Block Party and vote for me one more time if you haven't voted today?!  The race is sooooo close and I'd LOVE to have your votes!! Thank you SO MUCH from the bottom of my heart!!

On my way into church this morning I was admiring all the beautiful yellow leaves falling from the trees.  The weather was perfect.  Everything was just so beautiful!  This seems like a perfect time to share a Fall card!

I cut the bottom part of the acorns out of text cardstock and then stamped polka dots on top.  I popped up the top acorn with dimensionals.

Very simple card to put together!

Thank you again for stopping by!! Remember if you haven't voted yet, I'd LOVE for you to stop by Market Street Stamps Block Party and vote for me!! My card is #3 and it says "Jen C" under it.  Thanks again!!!

Bloom Where You Are Planted

Hello!! I hope this post finds each of you doing well and having a nice day!  I have a fun card to share with you today that I recently put together using stamps from Market Street Stamps.

Aren't those carrots so cute!?  I don't have any other images like those in my collection and I really like how sweet they are! I also LOVE Market Street Stamps background stamps!! They fit the entire card front and stamp so well!  I really love their woodgrain background stamp!  I colored the images on this card with copics and added glitter to the carrots with a spica glitter pen.

Of course I couldn't resist adding some Mandarin twine from The Twinery on my card. I was really surprised to find it looks so pretty paired with aqua! I ran the entire stamped and colored kraft panel through my Big Shot with the PTI Linen Impression Plate to give it some earthy texture.

The center panel on the card is popped up with dimensionals and the twine is wrapped around that layer.  The patterned paper is adhered directly to the card base.

This card is for the Market Street Stamps Block Party.  They are celebrating one year in business!! Angelica and her husband are the owners and she is also a teammate of mine on The Twinery design team!  Congratulations Angelica!!  I wish you many more successful years!
