Miss You Much + Pie Day + All Things Fall Release

If you haven't already heard, it is sneak peek time for the All Things Fall Collection from Catherine Pooler Designs.  This release also includes 5 new brown inks!

Today I took a colorful approach to the Pie Day Stamp Set.  

Thinking outside the box, I thought that the stamps in this stamp set could also be used to create cute, decorative accents on cards.  I stamped the scalloped pie crust/circle stamp in a pattern on my card in Pucker Up, It's a Girl, Bellini, Limoncello, In the Park, Aquatini, Something Borrowed and Flirty Fuchsia Inks.  After finishing the scallops, I stamped the hearts in most of those colors from the same stamp set, and then I die cut them with the circle die from the Pie Day Dies.  

The sentiment on this card comes from the Best in the Patch Stamp Set.  I die cut that entire piece with the Scallops & Dots Dies and then backed it with a piece of patterned paper from the Fresh & Fruity Patterned Paper Pack.  

I want to share a trick with you on how to save some patterned paper. I know some of you already do this.  I love my simple black & white patterned paper and it pains me (LOL) to cover up 75% of it when I layer it behind a panel.  So I chose a rectangle die that was smaller than my panel and die cut the inside out of my patterned paper.  This way I can layer my stamped panel on the "frame" of the patterned paper while preserving the inside of the patterened paper for a later project!  Two cards from one patterned paper piece!
