It's a Birthday Hop for Catherine!

Some of the Design Team Members from Catherine Pooler Designs have come together to throw a surprise birthday hop for Catherine over on Instagram! Happy Birthday Catherine!  You are a wonderful person and we wish you the happiest of birthdays!

I hope you'll visit my post over on Instagram so you can follow along with the other designers on the hop!  I also wanted to share my card details here on my blog.  Our theme for the hop is pink, glittery snowflakes.  My snowflakes are actually white glittery but they have an ombre pink background.

I started by die cutting the snowflakes from white, glitter paper.  I used the Delicate Snowflake Die and snowflakes from the Snowflake Trio Die Set.  I added a sequin from the Miami Sequin Mix in the centers of each snowflake and I curled the edges of each snowflake up for dimension. 

For the background, I blended It's a Girl, Be Mine and Pucker Up Inks with a blending brush to create an ombre background.  

I love this big birthday sentiment from the Happy Birthday Many Ways Stamp Set.  I stamped it in VersaMark ink and then embossed it with Pearl Gold Sparkle Embossing Glitter, one of my favorite gold embossing powders.  The panel was die cut with one of the dotted rectangles from the Scallops & Dots Dies Set.
