It's time for a new Catherine Pooler release, For
Your Crew! This release has something for everyone! The
new release will be live in the Catherine Pooler Designs shop on Wednesday,

This next card is based around a new die called Four Windows Cover Plate Die. I decided while I was playing with it that I wanted to make a slimline card with this die that looks sort of like our house (ours only has one ground level).
So I will admit that this is a pretty tight fit to make it slimline but it worked! I cut my blue paper (our house is blue!) to 3 1/2" x 8 1/2". Then I used the Four Windows Cover Plate Die and made sure to stop die cutting before it cut the very bottom of the die (so that the blue house could be longer on the bottom to fit the slimline (and so I would have room to add the doors). I die cut the die again with white cardstock to add the white shutters and in yellow to add the yellow doors (we also have yellow doors). To make the doors open, I just used a knife to cut the slits. I added clouds behind the house by cutting a border with one of the Melon Edge Die and using that piece as a stencil with Cummerbund Ink. The sun is made by stamping one of the flowers in the Shine on Sunflowers Stamps and die cutting it with the coordinating dies. For the roof I cut a piece of cardstock in a triangle and stamped it with the Painted Stripes Background Stamp.
When you open the card up this is what you see. I realize it isn't the greatest photo but I found it very hard to keep those shutters open, not create a huge shadow and get a good photo. So, hopefully you get the idea! Aren't those critters from the new Critter Crew Stamps adorable? The sentiment, stamped in In the Park & Pucker Up, come from the same set. The banner is from another adorable but previously released critter set called Happy Buddies Stamps.
