Color Burst Sprays

I share in the video how I made this card using homemade color sprays.  To create the sprays I used the Catherine Pooler Color Burst Powders!  This is such a fun technique, especially if you like to make simple water color backgrounds!

I really like how you can get such a soft look with these bright colors by making them into sprays and also by taking some of the ink off after you've sprayed it.  

Here's a closer look at the finished card.  You can see how some of the spots changed colors when mixed together.  I love that!  The stencil I used is the Bear Grass Stencil from Catherine Pooler. 

For the top of the card I die cut the Garden Gate die in white and attached it.  I wrapped velllum around the top of the card and then attached the Hello letters that were die cut with the Hello Mini Cover Plate die.  To make the letters glittery I used a glitter pen (linked below) over the top.

All About Christmas Catherine Pooler Release Day

The latest Catherine Pooler release is available TODAY at 9 AM EST!  And there's a FREE Gift with Purchase for orders $35 or over (details below).  Yay!  I've been sharing some sneak peeks on my blog this week and today I have another card that is an elegant Christmas card made with a beautiful stamp set.

I created the grapevine part of the wreath with the Sweet Home Wreath stamp set.  I then die cut & stamped pieces from the beautiful new Boughs & Berries stamp set and Boughs & Berries dies.  This set is so pretty and I love the various patterns that make this set so unique!   The green border was die cut with one of the Bordering Sweet dies.

For the inside of the wreath I stamped the joy sentiment from the Boughs & Berries stamp set on Midnight cardstock and embossed it in white.  The background, which uses one of my favorite stamps, is the Buffalo Plaid Background stamp and it is stamped with Midnight ink.
