Happy Birthday Party

Hello & welcome!  Today is a special day as my hubby & I are celebrating our 22nd Wedding Anniversary today! WOW!!  How time flies!  We are celebrating by eating at my favorite place, Fuzzy's Tacos (I know, so glamorous right?) and going to see Aladdin!  

Today's card is a playful and fun card.  I went a little silly with this one but why not when you are celebrating a birthday?

Of course that background is one of my favorite stamps, the Catherine Pooler Buffalo Plaid Background stamp.  I love how you can add soft or bold backgrounds easily to cards!  I stamped it here in It's a Girl ink.  I stamped that adorable bird using the Fluttering Friends stamp set and die cut it out with the coordinating Fluttering Friends dies.  I colored it with copic markers.  To get the bird a little festive I added stamped & die cut balloons & the party hat with the Woohoo stamp set & Woohoo dies.

I wanted to create a base for the card and so I stamped the leaf images from the Forest Foliage stamp set with Flirty Fuchsia, Lemongrass, Party Dress & Coral Cabana inks and then die cut them with the coordinating Forest Foliage dies.  The sentiment is also from the Fluttering Friends stamp set.
