Papertrey Ink Anniversary Day 1

Papertrey Ink is celebrating another anniversary this month.  They issued a challenge to make a card inspired by on one of the cards shown on Nichole's post.  I chose to use Maile's card as inspiration taking the clean and simple design, the rainbow colors and the layout as my inspiration.

Here is my version:

I used the PTI Simple Circles Border Die and cut out the shape from the front of a cardstock panel.  Then, I layered patterned paper from Crate Paper, in a rainbow hue, underneath and pushed the two pieces of die cut cardstock together. Instead of giving me a circle shape, it made an oval shape which I thought was fun and unique.

I popped the entire panel up on pop dots for dimension.

I also used the Linen Impression plate on the panel for texture.  LOVE this impression plate.  I use it on almost every card! The sentiment is from last year's anniversary set, "Botanical Silhouettes".

Here is Maile's card that I was inspired by:
Well folks, it is nap time now!! Then, off to a Super Bowl party (I still don't know who I am going to cheer for! I go for the fellowship, food and commercials!!).

Thanks for stopping by!
