I participated in a color challenge for TAC demos. The challenge was to use only white & green colors on your card. You could stamp images with black or brown ink. This ended up being a little tougher than I anticipated but the final product turned out ok I think.

First Fish Layout
I love TAC's Hip Hop paper! It is just perfect for boy's pages and if you cut it up and use just bits and pieces here and there, it doesn't overwhelm the page.

Ink: TAC Palette Jardin Moss, TAC Palette Prussian Blue. VersaMark
Stamps: TAC Simple-Bet Alphabet, TAC Camping LE (full-sized set is on page 87 of current catalogue), TAC Chunky Bet Uppers Alphabet (retired)

Storing Punches
I have a love/hate relationship with punches! I LOVE to use them but HATE to store them! I've seen some cool ideas for ways that other people store them but just don't have the space that they have and so had resorted to storing them in a basket.
Four or five months ago, I purchased a curtain rod to hang my punches on, like I saw on someones blog, but it just didn't work for me. The punches kept falling over and so I went back to the basket method. Then, Laurie told me that she bought the cheap towel rod and that worked wonders for her. So, I went to Walmart, bought the $5 towel rod and haven't looked back since. I took some photos to show you, although they didn't turn out too great. At least you can still get the idea. I love having these punches in my sight and easy to access. If I can see my tools, I tend to use them more--although with the scalloped punches I don't seem to forget about them anyway!! :)

Sympathy
You never want to have to use sympathy cards, but unfortunately, it seems that they are needed more often than I'd like. I made a simple card the other day for a friend that I wanted to share. This uses one of my favorite TAC stamp sets, which is unfortunately retired, called "Love & Joy". I paired it up with the sympathy sentiment set that TAC carries called "With Sympathy".
The centers of each flower has purple stickles and the background is stamped with VersaMark.

Quick Valentine's Day Card
Here is a super, simple & quick idea for Valentine's day! I used 3 different sets for this, but the same look could easily be accomplished using only two. The hearts come from the TAC "Linear Sentiments" set. The polka dotted strip was made using the border strip in TAC's "Friendship Strips"--although this could have been made using the dotted border strip in "Linear Sentiments" as well. I used Brilliance Moonlight White to make the polka dots on the black cardstock. And, last but not least, the "love" comes from TAC's "Love Doodles", a set that I really like.
It is a little hard to see, but some of the dots on the hearts (stamped with Palette L'amore Red ink) also have stickles on them. The hearts are attached to the card using TAC's pop dots. I LOVE our pop dots! I have never found any other brand of pop dots that I like as well or better! You certainly get your money's worth when you get these dots (tip: cut up the negative pieces to make your own pop "dots")!!
I used the edge distresser to make the edges of the pink cardstock "frilly". It just adds a nice little extra touch.
Don't forget that all stamps that start with a "T" in their code are 50% off through January 26th! That means that "Linear Sentiments" is only $9.98 for 13 stamps, "Friendship Strips" is only $9.98 for 9 border strips and "Love Doodles" is only $5.48 for 12 stamps! What a bargain!!

Christmas...A Little Late
I entered these cards in a contest that TAC hosts each month. They didn't win and I haven't uploaded them yet so even though Christmas is gone, I thought that I would go ahead and do it now. The sets that I used are "Holiday Magic" and "Simply Christmas". My goal was to use all non-Christmas paper to make Christmas cards.
The card above was my favorite! It uses paper from the Penelope paper pack. I also used the Kraft cardstock which is one of my paper crafting staples! I use this stuff ALL the time on cards and scrapbook pages, for tags, etc. I have never found another Kraft cardstock that I like better. It's wonderful and very high quality 80# cardstock!!
This reindeer card uses one of my favorite cardstock colors from the Hemingway collection. It's just such a beautiful blue/green! The patterned paper comes from the Hemingway paper pack. Not a traditional Christmas paper, but it works! I also pierced some holes around the patterned paper and image meet.
The card above used the Cha Cha paper collection & ribbon. Isn't that ribbon gorgeous? TAC has some of the prettiest ribbon! I also embossed each of the little square/rectangles with sparkle embossing powder and used pop dots to add dimension.
