A Beachy Hello
This is a sister to a card I shared yesterday.  I love those pictures of all of the colorful beach houses all lined up in a row and I wanted to mimic that look on this card. So today I am sharing another sneak peek of the By the Sea stamp & die sets with that theme in mind!

I stamped & die cut the little beach houses (I'm from Kansas...I do not know the official title for these little cottage houses, LOL!) using the By the Sea stamps* & the coordinating By the Sea dies*.  I used my copics to color in the images.  To add even more color to the card I used strips of scrap cardstock from my stash to make a rainbow to light up the sky with.  I added the Sunburst die cut (one of my faves!) to the corner with dimensional tape to finish up the beach sky.

I wanted to create a beach also.  So to do that I used Kraft cardstock and layered the first half on the bottom.  Then I took the other half, tore it and then layered it in top of the first layer to create a sand like look.  I attached the hello from the Ways to Say Hey die to the card and by doing that was able to ground the beach houses.

Lighthouse: Sparkle & Shine

Today I am sharing a sneak peek of a new stamp & die set coming to the Catherine Pooler store soon!

Sparkle & Shine

Do you like that lighthouse?  That is a new stamp & die set releasing on Tuesday, July 30th to Stamp Nation members called By the Sea.  I love lighthouses and was excited to get to play with this stamp set!  I colored the lighthouse with copics.  

I created the background with strips of scrap cardstock and then stamped (with my Misti) the sentiment from the Be Wild stamp set.  It seemed to fit this stamp set perfectly!  I also tore a piece of Kraft cardstock and adhered to the bottom of the card in order to make a look of sand dunes on the beach.

I created the beam coming from the lighthouse by die cutting the Sunburst die from Premium white cardstock that I had colored with Sauna Ink and then covered with Wanderlust Embossing Powder to add sparkle. I finished the card off by adding some Crater Lake Sequins.

Create Every Day

Hello!! I hope you are all staying cool.  This week has been a welcome break from the 100+ degree temps we had here in Kansas last week!  Yikes!  It was hot!

Create Every Day

Today's card was made using an ice cream set...seriously! :)

I used the 3 Scoops stamp set to stamp the borders on the bottom of this card.  I love the little scallops and the two stamps match up so nicely together.  The ink colors I used are linked below.  After finishing the borders, I die cut the create with the Create die.  The "Every Day" sentiment came from the Eat, Sleep, Create stamp set.

Here's a closeup of the bottom of the card.  This was a quick card to put together!

Color Combos

I've shown two color combos below.  One is the simplified version and includes the colors from the larger scallops.  The second color combo includes all of the ink colors I used including the ones from the dotted scallops.
