Be-YOU-Tiful + New Catherine Pooler Release Sneak Peek Day 1

It's my favorite time of the month again...it's time for a new Catherine Pooler release, For Your Crew!  This release has something for everyone!  The new release will be live in the Catherine Pooler Designs shop on Wednesday, February 10 at 9 AM EST or, if you are a StampNation member, you get to shop early at Noon EST on February 9th!  Please note that the new items are linked in this post but will not be live in the store until release day.

Today I have a small sneak peek to share with you of some fabulous Slimline Patterned Paper and some new Block Alphabet Dies (these were released earlier this week and are currently available in the store).  

I love the new Best Friend Slimline Patterned Paper Pack that is included in the For Your Crew release.  For this card I cut my cardstock base to 3 1/2" x 7" (at the end I trimmed about an inch off of the top to make it shorter).  I chose this gorgeous Black Jack flower pattern from the pack.  I die cut the letters for Be-You-Tiful with the Block Alphabet Dies from colored cardstock in my stash (you could also color your own cardstock with Catherine Pooler Inks).  

I wanted my letters to be dimensional so I cut the Block Alphabet out of white cardstock twice and layered three letters together with liquid adhesive (2 white & then the colored one on top).  I adhered those to my patterned card front and then took a tiny circle stamp from the Find Your Happy Stamp Set (previously released) and stamped the centers of some of the gray flowers with the colored ink.  The colors I used are: Rockin' Red, Party Dress, It's a Girl, Orange Twist, Limoncello, Lime Rickey, Mint to Be, Aquatini & Grape Crush.

Take Out on Date Night + GIVEAWAY!

I wanted to share the project here on my blog that I am sharing on Instagram, along with a few details as well.  

I used several of the new Date Night Ink colors for this duo that I am absolutely in love with (and I promise, I am not just saying that!)!  The colors I chose were Pucker Up, Cummerbund, Serenade, Chiffon, Drive-In, Inthe Park and Mardi Gras.  

I die cut the tag in the Hearts-n-Tags die set and then stamped the flowers & leaves from the Best in the Patch Stamp Set.  

I love these little flowers!  I also stamped some of the black dots, meant for the center of one of the flowers, around the outside perimeter of the images to add  more contrast.  For the card base I attached a strip of black & white polka dotted paper from the Little Black Slimline Patterned PaperPack and then a piece of serenade paper from the Happy HeartsSlimline Patterned Paper Pack.  I attached the tag with dimensional foam & added a piece of Midnight Twine and a few sequins (attached with glue dots) from the Loveladies and PaisleyPark Sequin Mixes.  

 

Isn't this little box so cute?  I used a piece of white cardstock and die cut it with the Mini Take Out Box.  Then I used the Best in the Patch Stamp Set like I did on the card tag and stamped the design.  Then I folded it up.  

I took a piece of craft wire and bent it into the position I wanted for the handle and poked holes in each side (do this before it is all folded up) and pushed the wire in.  I love the handle it created!
