I have two more cards to share today.

Jen Carter Best Blooms You Best Acetate 1 wm

This first card is an acetate card.  I used striped acetate (from We R Memory Keepers) to create the card base.  I then die cut some flowers & leaves from the gorgeous new Best Blooms die set and then stamped the multi-layered flowers & leaves with the new Best Blooms stamp set.  I stamped the sentiment on the inside layer so that it would peek between the stripes.  It is also from the Best Blooms stamp set.

Here's a side view.

Jen Carter Wreath Roses Mom 1 wm

For this last card I used the new Wreath of Roses Stamp set and the coordinating Wreath of Roses die set.  I colored the wreath with copics and then used Gansai Tambi Starry Colors over the top of each of them to make them shimmer.  I die cut the banner from the Warm Welcome Die Set in vellum and then stamped the sentiment from the Wreath of Roses die set. I used the Mom Word Die across the wreath.  All of this was adhered to the fun Ombre Chevron Patterned Paper by Lil' Inker Designs.

Jen Carter Grad Class Stars 2 wm

I have two graduates in my family this May; one from 8th grade and one with his Masters!  So needless to say this graduation stamp set came at the perfect time for me!  I started by diecutting the background with the Quilted Stitched So Sunny Die.  I then die cut my watercolor paper with the new Silly Stitched Square Dies.  I stamped the sentiment & a few extra stars from the Grad Class stamp set in VersaMark and then embossed it in white.  I used my Zig Real Brush pens to make the orange background.  I added stars that I had die cut with both the Starry Sky die & the Stitched Stars die set.

Jen Carter Apple Eye Shaker Pick 2 wm

For my last card I started by die cutting that awesome background with the new Cover Up Die: Stitched Quatrefoil die.  Isn't that a cool background?  Next I used the Color Blocking die to create the diagonal pieces at the bottom and then stamped the sentiment from the Apple of My Eye stamp set.  For the apple shaker I used the new Apple Shaker Die.  I used my Zig Real Brush markers again to make the apple background and then put the larger apple on top.  For the stem of the apple I die cut another leaf to give it a little more texture.  Also, if you're looking for a good teacher set, this is a stamp & die set you should consider!

Lil' Inker Designs April Release: Day 1

Hello!  It's time for the next Lil' Inker Designs release! The new products are already available in the  Lil' Inker Designs store!

If you are following along in the blog hop you should have come from Heather Hoffman's Blog!

I have two cards to share today.

Jen Carter Painted Alpha Chevron Border Gator 1 wm

First up is this gator card. This was inspired by the new Stitched Chevron Border die. As I was playing around with it I thought it would make good teeth.  I had so much fun figuring out how to put this together.

To make the gator, I used the "cloud" border from the Border Builder die set to cut the top of his head and the rounded stitched border from the same set to cut the bottom of his head.  I used the Stitched Chevron Border die to create the teeth.  The eye was die cut with the smallest die in the Stitched Mats: Circles die set.  The little black dot was die cut with the circle in the Anytime Tags 2 die set.

The blue sea was made using a few layers of the Fanfare Scalloped Border die.  The letters for the sentiment "Later Gator" are die cut from the new & GOTTA HAVE 😉 Pretty Painted Alphabet die set & then stamped with the coordinating Pretty Painted Alphabet stamps.  I 💗 these new alphabet stamps & dies!

Jen Carter Hootie Patootie Weather 1 wm

I am so excited about the new Hootie Patootie stamps!  My daughter & I both love owls!  I colored in the owl with copics.  To make the background, I used the Cover Up Die: Swirls with a dark teal paper and left all of the pieces in, die cut it again in a lighter green and popped up a few pieces to emphasize the rain drops.  I then used the Color Blocking die that you know I am a huge fan of (you can see a video on how to use this die here) to create the diagonal pieces at the bottom.  The sentiment also comes from the Hootie Patootie stamp set.

You can win the entire release just by commenting on the Lil' Inker Design Team's blogs!  To be eligible, you must leave a comment on each Design Team blog each day of the 3 day release.

Cupcake Inspirations Challenge #401

Welcome to the next Cupcake Inspirations Challenge #401!  This week the challenge is to use the provided color scheme (shown at the end of this post) on your card or project.  Our sponsor this week and the prize is from Birch Press Designs.  All of the details, including prize information, can be found on the Cupcakes Inspiration blog.  I hope you'll play along!

Jen Carter CIC401 Birch Press Kind 2

I LOVE Birch Press Designs' layered dies!  They are so much fun to play with!  Since I don't own any, I've only been fortunate enough to play with them before, my sweet friend Tracey McNeely sent me some die cuts to play with for this challenge!  Thank you so much Tracey!  I can't wait to see her in a week and play some more with these fabulous dies!

I started by layering the three die cuts from the Sevilla Layer Set dies to create the card base.  I then cut a tag from Reverse Confetti's Tag Me die.  I stamped the sentiment from Neat & Tangled's Kindness Matters stamp set.  I then layered the gorgeous butterfly from Birch Press Designs Paradiso Butterfly Layer die set, using two of the layers rather than three.  Last, I added a few sequins.

This is such a gorgeous die set!!  And SO MUCH fun to play around with!  Some day I'll share the other cards I have made using these dies.

Here is the gorgeous challenge color scheme.  You can use the photo for inspiration but you don't have to, as long as you use the provided color scheme. I hope you'll join us this week for the Cupcake Inspirations Challenge #401!  Thanks for stopping by!
