A Sunflower Wreath

Happy Monday!  I hope everyone is doing well and had a nice weekend!  It's starting to heat up here in Kansas and the farmers are all heading out to the fields to harvest the wheat.  I LOVE the wheat fields right now.  They are all so golden and when the wind blows (which is about always lately!) it just ripples through the wheat and creates the most beautiful scene!  

Another thing I love about Kansas are the sunflowers!  Tomorrow my hubby and I celebrate 19 years of marriage and in our wedding we had sunflowers.  They were so big and beautiful!  How is it possible that that was already 19 years ago?  Wow!  Time flies!  So in honor of that special day, I put together this card.

I used Lil' Inker Designs new Warm Welcome Stamps and the coordinating Warm Welcome Die Set.  I first stamped the wreath off of the side of the card and then stamped some of the greenery directly on the wreath.  I then attached the die cuts.

I stamped the "Thank You" using the Mirror, Mirror Stamp Set onto the banner from the Warm Welcome Die Set.  The little chevron bow is die cut with the Bunnies & Bows Dies.

I am entering this in the Cupcakes Inspirations #364 Challenge based on this photo (I did throw in a little red for some contrast in the wreath).

Super Hero Dad

Father's Day is coming in a few weeks and sometimes making a masculine card can be a challenge for me.  The Superhero themed product line that Frantic Stamper just released is perfect for having the tools needed for many kinds of masculine cards. 

This one is super simple.  I used the Super Hero Words Die to cut out the words in my cardstock. I put clear cardstock behind the words and then pieced the little pieces that had cut out of the words (like the part that finishes the "p" & "e" for example) to the cardstock.  (I used the clear cardstock because I had originally intended this to be a shaker card but then got ahead of myself and taped it down to my cardstock mat, oops!!  But I still like how it gives it a nice sheen, glossy look!)

I die cut the superhero and his cape with the Superhero Outlines die set and then stamped the super hero with the coordinating Superheros stamp set.

Lil' Inker Designs Release: Day 3

Welcome back to day 3 of the Lil' Inker Designs release!  If you are following along in the blog hop you should have come from Stephanie Gold's blog!  There are three $15 gift certificates to the LID store up for grabs, so the more blogs you comment on, the better your chances are of winning!    

Calling all coffee lovers... The stamps on this first card may look familiar to you and that is because they are the previously released Coffee Talk stamps.  The great thing is that now they have coordinating dies to match called Coffee Talk Dies!!   Oh, and a fun Coffee Word die too in a wonderful font! :)

I stamped the sentiment and attached my watercolored frapp to a panel that I die cut with the Fringed Scallop Square dies.  I also used the largest Fringed Scallop Square die to make another border on the outside card edge.

Another new stamp set called Mirror, Mirror is also releasing this month!  I die cut the largest mirror (which also makes a great frame!) from the Mirror, Mirror Die Set & then stamped the coordinating image from the Mirror, Mirror Stamp Set.  I inserted the Mirrored Paper (FREE through June 12th with the purchase of the Mirror, Mirror Die and Stamp Set with code MIRRORMIRROR!) into the mirror.  The banner is from the Warm Welcome Die Set and the sentient is also from the Mirror, Mirror Stamp Set.  I also used one of the new Dual Dotted Border Builder Dies to create the dotted border on the diagonal on the card.

This is the inside of the card.  I again used the Warm Welcome Die Set for the banner.  The sentiment is from the Mirror, Mirror Stamp Set.  The Dual Dotted Border Builder Dies were used to create the dotted borders at the bottom.

Lil' Inker Designs Release: Day 2

Welcome to day 2 of the Lil' Inker Designs Release!  All of the products being shown today are currently available in the Lil' Inker Designs store!  If you are following along in the blog hop you should have come from Amy Kolling's blog! First up today is a fun new build a bird set called Hello, Beautiful! I started by creating the background paper using one of the images from the Hello Beautiful Stamp Set.  I then cut it apart using the new Fringe Scallop Border Builder dies.  The banner is from the Warm Welcome Die Set and the sentiment is from the Hello Beautiful Stamp Set.

Putting the bird together was a lot of fun!  When I went looking for bird color examples I was absolutely amazed at the beautiful birds in the world!  Two of my favorites I pinned here and here. Using some of the colors from those pins, I put together this colorful bird.  First, I die cut her with the Hello Beautiful Die Set & then stamped the coordinating images.  I then added a flower from the Hello Beautiful Stamp Set to her hair.

I was inspired to make this card from a picture I found here.  I started by making sure I had space for the sentiments at the bottom.  I die cut the Welcome Word Die & the label from the Warm Welcome Die Set.  I stamped the sentiment from the Warm Welcome Stamp Set.

Next, I die cut the flowers from the Warm Welcome Die Set & the previously released Fresh Cut Flowers Die Set.  I then stamped them with their coordinating stamp sets Warm Welcome & Fresh Cut Flowers.  These sets intermix so well!  To finish the card off I added in some stamped dots and sequins.
