Jen Carter LID Sparkle & Shine Tag Card Side 2.1 wm

First up is a card featuring quite a few new products on it!  I started by creating my background with a new cover plate die called Cover Up Die: Faceted.  For this card I used it like an impression plate which created a really unique background.   I cut the darker gray tag with the Pinking Edge Sentiment Flag die set and then stamped some starbursts from the new Girl's Best Friend stamp set.  The stamped sentiment on the tag is also from that stamp set.

This tag was so much fun to put together.  First, I LOVE this new tag set, Anytime Tags 2, so much!! It includes 3 different sizes of the stitched tag and I've used the 2 smaller of the sizes on this card.  I created the background of the larger tag with a new die set that I have been begging for called Long & Skinny Rectangles.  It has several sizes of "stripes" that you can use to build a background or use as a frame.  I used several different sizes on this tag.  The glittery silver ampersand die is from another new die set that I think you'll love called All About Ampersands.

I have one more card to share with you today and you might have already seen it if you follow my blog or viewed all of the posts for the Paper Crafts & Scrapbooking Farewell hop.

You can find all of the information on this card on this post.  I've used the new Long & Skinny Rectangles dies, the previously released Stitched Mats: Circles dies which feature LID's dual stitching, the Girl's Best Friend Diamond die and the coordinating stamp set called Girl's Best Friend.

Come Let Us Adore Him!

Hey everyone!!  I hope this Friday finds you doing well!  I am so ready for the weekend!  This week has flown by though!  This weekend will still be busy as we have basketball games and our first Christmas of the season!

Keeping with the Christmas spirit I wanted to share another Christmas card.

Jen Nativty Creche Northern Star 1.1 wm

Well, if you haven't figured it out by now, I LOVE the Nativity Creche & Sheep Die from Frantic Stamper. Love!

Jen Nativty Creche Northern Star Closeup 1.1

For this card, the sky background was created with Silver Starry Night washi tape. As soon as I saw it I knew I needed to use it with this nativity silhouette die!  I die cut the nativity and sheep in black cardstock and then cut a black strip of cardstock to use for the ground.  I popped the nativity and sheep up with pop dots to add dimension.  I placed a silver glitter star, die cut with the Northern Star die, on top of the nativity.

I didn't have just the right sentiment stamp at the time so I used my computer to create this one.

This is a very simple & easy to put together card.  Especially if you are wanting to mass produce them!

Thank you for visiting today!! I hope you have a wonderful Friday!

Paper Crafts & Scrapbooking Magazine Special Thanks! Blog Hop

Jen Carter PC LID Diamond Front 2

Welcome to the Paper Crafts & Scrapbooking Special Thanks Blog Hop!  Today I, along with over 200 other crafters, are participating in a blog hop in honor of one of our favorite places of inspiration, Paper Crafts & Scrapbooking Magazine which recently announced they will be closing their doors.  I've subscribed to this magazine for years and have had some of my cards published in their magazine.  It is a loss to the crafting community to see them close.  In an effort to honor them and how they have contributed to our crafting hobby, we are sending them out with a bang!

If you are following along in the blog hop you should have come from Isha's blog!  If you'd like to see a list of all of the participants, click here to go to the beginning of the hop.

Our theme for this hop is thanks and friendship.  What a better way to symbolize friendship than with something sparkly!

I created this card with some sneak peek products that will be released on December 6th by Lil' Inker Designs!  My background was created using the new (available December 6th) Long & Skinny Rectangle dies.  I used two different sizes and pieced them together.  I love how there is LID's signature stitching all throughout the card!

The circle was die cut with Lil' Inker Designs Stitched Mats: Circles dies which feature LID's dual stitching!  They stitch on both the die cut piece & the negative piece.  You are also seeing another new die called Girl's Best Friend Diamond die (also available December 6th).  The sentiment & diamond "shine" comes from the coordinating stamp set called Girl's Best Friend (also available Dec 6th).

A Pine Cone Christmas

Hey everyone!  I hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving!! I had a great time getting together with my family!  I did a little late shopping on Black Friday, but most of my shopping was done ahead of time online.  I found some pretty good deals that way too and avoided the hectic crowds!

Now it's hard to believe that Christmas is just 3 1/2 weeks away!

Jen Carter Pine Cone Christmas

For this card I used stamps from the Clearly Whimsy line called Christmas Greetings.  I love the pine cones and branches included in this set!  I stamped the branches in two colors of green ink and then stamped the pine cones.

The sentiment is also from the Christmas Greetings set.  I added some bronze sequins to the bottom of the pine cones for a little extra something and finished the card off with a gold ribbon.

Thanks for stopping by today!  I hope you have a wonderful week!
