I have two cards to share today, both with a birthday theme.
Card #1
First up is a bright and fun card featuring the new Modern Mandala Stamp & Modern Mandala Die sets.
To create this card I started with a white piece of Bristol Smooth cardstock. Then using one of the beautiful and detailed images from the Modern Mandala Stamp Set I embossed the images with white embossing powder and a heat gun. To make them line up easier, I stamped & embossed just a couple at a time so I could more easily see where to place the next image. Then using bright inks (listed below) & a sponge applicator I began sponging the inks onto the cardstock & blending as I went. Once I was completely finished I used a white rag to rub off the ink from the white embossed images which allowed the white to more fully pop.
I then inked up another little section of white cardstock and stamped & embossed the image again and this time I die cut it out with the coordinating Modern Mandala Die. I attached that to my card front with dimensionals. I then diecut the little sentiment plate, also included in the Modern Mandala Die Set, from black cardstock & embossed the sentiment from the Modern Mandala Stamp Set in white. I used some black twine to attach the sentiment plate to the card front. I love how the black pops against the bright ink colors & white images!
Card #2
This next card is much softer in color and uses several new products including the new Eat Cake Stamp set, coordinating Eat Cake Die Set, Ever Stamps & Ever Word Die.
For this card I started by taking a piece of Bristol Smooth Cardstock and blending an area of pink & yellow inks (listed below). I then die cut that piece with one of the Eat Cake Dies and stamped the sentiment from the Eat Cake Stamp set and embossed it with gold glitter embossing powder. I used a white gel pen to add the stripes on the candles and used Glossy Accents to make the flames shiny.
To assemble the panel I die cut the Rustic Cream card panel with the previously released Stitched Mats: Side Stitched Rectangles. I then die cut the large, gorgeous Ever Word Die out of gold glittery cardstock. Once I placed that on the panel, I stamped the sentiment from the Ever Stamp Set. Then, I placed the cake on top of the sentiment with dimensional tape. After wrapping some gold thread around the card base, I attached the entire panel with dimensional tape.
