Today is a special day in the United States. Today we celebrate Memorial Day. It is a day which honors those who have fallen while serving in the US Armed Forces, those who serve(d) protecting our country and fighting for our freedom. I love seeing all of the flags flying! I love hanging our flag up on the front of the house. To those out there that may be reading this post who have served our country or who have family members serving our country...THANK YOU! From the bottom of my heart, thank you for your sacrifices.
It seemed fitting today to show my thanks with a card that represents this great country.
Thank you again for your sacrifices! God bless you!
Hi! I made a masculine card (although it really could be used for women too!) to honor those belated birthdays! The main elements on the card are the Dual Dotted Circle Diesfrom Lil' Inker Designs. I love how some of the circles have dots on the circle and some surround the circles on the card!
I also die cut a larger circle and then cut it to fit my card front and stamped and embossed the sentiment from the Keep it Sassy Stamps.
I'm sharing this on "The Challenge" blog that is hosting a masculine challenge.
Hi! I wanted to share some more from the Frantic Stamper Superhero Release with you! I have another card to share and a video that shows most of the cards that I made for this release!
First the card.
I went with an unexpected color combination on this one and I really like how that turned out. I found some comic like patterned paper and then stamped & embossed my sentiments on it from the Frantic Stamper Super Sayings stamp set. I love the font in this stamp set!
I used some glittery paper to put together the batman icon that is die cut with the Heroic Symbols die set. There are three dies in that set and it is such a fun grouping of dies!
Hello! School is out for the summer! Yesterday was the last day! Crazy! I have another week or so of work to do and it'll be busy because I usually work part time but until I'm done I'll be working full time. I am so ready for summer break! Yea!
Frantic Stamper just released a new Super Hero themed set of dies & stamps and I can't wait to share what I've created with them! I have been so excited for this release for several months now and really went overboard creating with these products because they are just SO FUN! Today I am sharing one card with you and a video as well. I will also have another video showcasing more of the release at a later time.
So this card...FUN to put together! This features a couple of new dies & an older one as well but the focus is that adorable super girl! That is from a new die set called Super Hero Kid. Oh the fun that you can have with this set! There are SO MANY choices on how to dress the super hero, what sex to make him/her, what hair style to use, what masks to wear, etc. So. Fun.
And can you just imagine the fun that your kids/grandkids will have mixing and matching with these pieces? I also made a magnetic fridge set with this die that I'll share at another time.
To make the spotlight for the super hero I used an older die called Corner Sun Rays Quilt Panel. I used the circle to fit in the corner of the patterned paper and one of the stitched sun rays for the beam. It was the perfect size!
This skyline is another fairly new die that I am very excited about as well, called Cityscape! I die cut it twice, once in white and then a second time in vellum and I used washi tapes to highlight some of the buildings. I have a video to share with you that shows how to easily create the washi tape buildings.
Thank you for joining me today! I hope to share another video with this release soon!
Hello! Have you heard about the Lil' Inker Designs sale? 16% off EVERYTHING in the store (with the exception of the newest release)! Today is the last day to shop!
For today's card I paired up some new items with some older items. I started by die cutting my background with the GORGEOUS Quilted Swirl Stitched Pattern Die. This is one of my favorite Lil' Inker Dies of all time!
For the flowers, I die cut the Vintage Flowers Dies on watercolor paper. Then, I embossed the Vintage Flower Stamps with white embossing powder and then colored them with my Zig Clean Color markers. The sentiment is from the Vintage Labels Sentiment Stamp Set. I die cut the yellow and black frames with the smallest die in the Dual Dotted Rectangle Die Set. I cut the flowers down and then adhered them to my card framing the sentiment strips. Some of the flowers are popped up and some are adhered directly to the card base.
I'm entering this in the CYCI #120 challenge to use the sketch as inspiration. I flipped the sketch over for this card.
Thank you for joining me today! I've shown the products I used for this card below. Don't forget if you'd like to buy any Lil' Inker products, today is the last day for the sale! Click here to shop: Lil' Inker Designs. (coupon code SPRING16)
The sale is good through May 16th so hurry over to the Lil' Inker Designs storeand pick up your goodies while supplies last on any product in the store excluding items from the latest release (BUT the Perfect Pairs dies ARE included in the sale)!
With Mother's Day just past, our focus now turns toward the men in our life. I don't know about you, but I find making masculine cards a little more challenging! However, Frantic Stamper recently released some dies that are perfect for the fishermen/fisherwomen in your life!
This die called Dad's Catch was a fun die to paper piece with and it was easy to do, just poking out and inserting in the different patterned papers! The sentiment is from the All in the Family stamp set and it has a lot of different options for creating sentiments!
My top navy layer I cut the circle out (using a general circle die) and then popped it up with foam tape so that it created a window for the die cut. All in all, this was a simple card to put together!
Hello! I wanted to share with you a couple of cards I made with some dies from the newest Patriotic themed release from Frantic Stamper. I wanted to go for a graduation theme since that time of the year is here and we'll be going to graduations & parties soon!
This first card really could be for many different occasions. I used the Reverse Stitched Country Stars die to cut out the stars directly into my card mat. Then, I die cut the stars in four colors of cardstock & situated them where I wanted them on my card, popping some of them up for dimension.
This week is Teacher Appreciation week and in honor of that I have a card to share for a teacher. My kids are so fortunate to be at a school with awesome teachers/staff!! We are so blessed and so fortunate! THANK YOU teachers for everything you do and everything you do that you don't have to do but you do because you LOVE the kids!! You go above & beyond!
