Bless You

I am really enjoying the gold trend going on right now.  When it comes to jewelry I've very much been an all-silver girl until the last year or so and now I'm finding I'm adding more and more gold to my collection.   I haven't used gold in my stamping much over the past few years so it's been fun to work with it again!

Today's card was all about the gold.

Bless You Gold 1

I used PTI's stripes stamps to create my embossed lines and then trimmed off a small portion and attached it with dimensionals on top of the panel.  I love the little dimension it added.  That sentiment is stamped with Delicata Golden Glitz ink which was a perfect match to the Zing! embossing powder!  Lastly, I di cut and stamped a leaf from PTI's  Turning a New Leaf set.

Thank you for stopping by!  I'd love to hear if you are "into" the whole gold trend or not!  Have a great day!

Papertrey Ink January Blog Hop

Hello!  It's been a while since I've played along with the PTI Blog Hop but when I saw the inspiration photo for January's hop I was so inspired to make a card!

The challenge this month was to make a card based on the inspiration photo and use only neutral colors and pinks.

And my card...

PTI Love 2

I was very inspired by the ombre wall in the top left picture of the inspiration photo and the rows of pink pencils with the gold so that's the direction I went.  I used patterned paper and PTI's Rainbow Stripes die to create the die cut lines.  The "love" was stamped and embossed in gold and then I stamped the heart inside the "o" heart and heat embossed with pink embossing powder.  I love the subtle look that added. All of that was adhered onto my card base that had been impressed with PTI's striped impression plate (which I love but don't believe it is currently in production).  As a final detail, I added a circle that I die cut the inside out of and added it to the corner of my sentiment panel.

Thanks for stopping by!

Supplies
Stamps: PTI Think Big Favorites #23
Dies: PTI Stripes Impression Plate, PTI Rainbow Stripes Die
Paper: PTI Rustic White, Love Notes by Crate Paper
Ink: VersaMark

HUGS!

Hello!  I have had the greatest time stamping again since I've redone my space!  This weekend I made cards just for the fun of it, not because I had an assignment due or a card to make for someone. It was so freeing and I was actually inspired...YEA!! I have needed that for a long time!  Such a great feeling!

I had a hard time deciding which card to share today but finally decided a card about hugs would be the way to go since I feel rather chipper today! :)

Hugs on My Mind

I had some Christmas money to spend and placed a small order from Simon Says Stamp for that adorable "Hugs" die!  I cut it twice, once out of silver glitter paper and once from Pure Poppy Striped paper from PTI to make a shadow for the word.  I adhered the "hugs" with pop dots to the patterned paper (also new called Love Notes by Crate Paper) and then adhered my enamel dots.

The tilted panel was die cute with Lil' Inker Designs Stitched Mats: Rectangles and then trimmed to fit the card front.  I stamped the sentiment underneath from a set that I haven't pulled out lately (but used it for TWO cards this weekend!!) called "Big & Bold Wishes".  I really like all of the sentiment options that this set offers!  To finish the card off, I tied a little strand of Rustic Cream Button Twine around the Berry Sorbet card base.

Thanks for stopping by today!  Hope you have a wonderful & blessed day today!

Never Dull Your Sparkle

Hello!  I hope you are having a great start to your weekend!  I love these slower, lazy days!  I'll get some grocery shopping done and watch my son play basketball!  I love seeing him out on the court trying his hardest and improving each and every week.  I love that "little" guy (he's 11 now and tall, but I like to think of him as little from time to time you know, lol!).

Today, I am stopping in with a  card that I made for the Freshly Made Sketches challenge.

Jen Dull Sparkle

I incorporated lots of color into this card!  I love cameras so it was fun to pull out this paper and find a use for it!  The fun sentiment is from the new Lil' Inker Designs set Shiny Happy!  LOTS of fun sentiments in that set!  I also used another LID product on this card.  Those little hearts are die cut from silver glitter paper with the Floating Hearts die.

Jen Dull Sparkle Sparkle

I tried to get an angle where you could see all of the glitter that I added with the Wink of Stella glitter pen, but it didn't really work.  But....just image that the "sparkle" word really does sparkly beautifully in real life!  The twine, another one of my favorites, is from The Twinery and is the Gold Shimmer twine!

Here is the sketch this is based off of:

I hope you have a wonderful day!

Retro Thanks!

Hey everyone!! Happy Friday!  I hope you are all doing well!  Thanks for visiting!

I recently saw a stamp set from a new company, Inspiration Ave that I immediately fell in love with.  I LOVE the big sentiments in the set and the fun font!  It is such a fresh set!  Better yet, I ordered the set on Saturday and I had it in my hands on Monday!  WOW!! Talk about fast shipping! I quickly whipped up a few cards using the set and wanted to share one with you today.

Thanks Inspiration Ave

This card is based on the current Retro Sketches challenge.  I started with a piece of patterned paper from Crate Paper's Market collection.  I really like the patterns and colors in this collection a lot!  I took a piece of Navy card stock and impressed the rectangle into it using Lil' Inker Designs Stitched Mats: Rectangles die. I used the wonderful "thanks" sentiment from the new With Love & Thanks set from Inspiration Ave and embossed it in pink. The mint arrow clip is from Webster's pages and it matched the paper perfectly!  I stamped a few stripes using PTI Super Stripes set in VersaMark ink for a little graphic element.

Thanks for stopping by!! I wish each of you a day full of blessings!

I Love You Day 2

Well Valentines is in the air and I love making cards with pink...and lots of color!  I pulled out my FAVORITE cloud dies ever that include the signature LID stitching to make this card!  I never get tired of using them!

The hearts are cut with the Floating Hearts Die onto a white mat cut from the Stitched Mats Rectangle die (if you don't have the Mat dies, this is a great time to pick them up with a discount, they are a must have in my book!!) and then backed with patterned paper from Doodlebug Designs Take Note collection.  The sentiment was stamped from the fun Love Things stamp set. I colored the "i love you" with colored pencils.  I tied a piece of Solid Pink Sorbet twine from The Twinery around the bottom to finish it off.

Easy Valentines & My New Crafty Space

Hello!! How are you all today?  I'm so glad it is Saturday!  It's noon here and I'm still sitting in my pj's. Sometimes it's so nice not to have to get out in the morning and just relax!  My daughter is begging me to play so I told her after this post is finished and I have showered I was all hers!  Later today my son has a basketball game...but this morning?  All mine!

I have a super easy valentines idea for you and I'm excited to share pictures with you of my new crafty space!  There are A LOT of pictures in this post!  So, let's get started!

Jen Love Tag

I love the new Love Tags Dies from Lil' Inker Designs!  They are so fun & unique in that they impress hearts into the tag!  For this super simple bag, I die cut both sizes of the tags from Echo Park Here & Now patterned paper.  Then, I stamped one of the images from the new Love Things stamp set (love this set!) onto the tag in Navy ink.  I added a strip of glitter tape to the bottom of the glassine bag and then attached the tag to the bag with a colored clothespin from Michaels.  The bag has cute little heart candy in it although you can't see that in the photo.

Now onto my new space! I've needed a redo for a while now.  I've pieced things together.  A tub here, a tub there, etc.  You know how it goes.  Well, over Christmas break someone posted on our local Facebook Buy, Share, Trade forum a deal we couldn't pass up for an office furniture set that they were getting rid of.  They were asking more than we wanted to pay for it so I put in a price quite a bit lower and she accepted it!  Yea for me!

So, here's what I've done with my space.  And, one of these days, I'd love to replace that lovely paneling with a pretty color of paint, but that is for another day!

Here's a view of the entire space.  That whole desk with the overhead hutch and 2 file cabinets was all included in the set.

This is my die cut area.  Those 2 hot pink boxes hold my dies in plastic CD sleeves.  The other dies that are too large for the envelopes are in the hutch above.

Here's my dies.  I try to organize them all by colors so they are easier to find.  I pick up these plastic sleeves at Office Max.  The things that grow (flowers, leaves, etc) are in the green envelopes.  The pink ones are the frames, tags, etc that I use a lot and they are kept in the front of my box.  Each color represents a category.

Here's the hutch open.

My long or large dies are in the black magnetic folders in the hutch.  I also have my felt, copics, impression plates/embossing folders and individual stamp sets in here.  My solid Twinery twines are stored in sugar containers on the top.

My small set of drawers include a variety of items such as my adhesives, clips to hold my papers together, etc.

The large file cabinet holds my papers.  This one has all of my scraps of paper arranged in files by color and brand.  I can't tell you how much I've started using my scraps since I started this system a few years ago!  It is organized and I can go to exactly what I need quickly!  Prior to having this file cabinet, I had these files in a milk carton crate (like this one) that I bought at Walmart.  Worked very well for me!

The bottom drawer has paper pads in it.  Yes, I know there are a lot of them.  I tend to like paper pads. :)

This is where I store my stamps and paper and buttons.  The polka dot tub has my buttons in it.  My ATG gun, scor-pal and other misc items are stored in the bottom slots.

My stamps that I have in CD/DVD cases are now stored in these drawers/tubs.

I love this little spinner from Harbor Freight!  It is only $19.99 and they often have coupons for 20% - 25% off of one item!  It does take a lot to put together, so if you quickly get tired of screwing in screws, you might have to ask for help!  Here I keep my embossing powders, washi tape, glitter, enamel dots and anything that might be newer or on my list to use soon.

This is my east wall,  I kept my punches on the wall because they are out of the way there but rarely do I used them.  My daughter uses them more than I do.  I have all of my multi-colored twine on my shelf and all of the ink pads on the wall.  The ink pads I use are in the white organizer and the ink pads that I don't want to get rid of but don't use as much are in the brown organizer that my husband made me several years ago.

And this is my working space.  I have two lights under the cabinets and one lamp that shines down so I can see easier.  Stamps I'm using or use a lot are in the turquoise bin.  I keep scissors, pens, pencils, rulers, hole punches, etc in the white revolving tool organizer.  And several of my daughter's creations are displayed there as well.

Speaking of my daughter.  She has her own storage for her crafty items.  The tubs you see to the left of my desk and under it on the first picture are hers. :)  The cabinets you see behind her hold my reinkers, magazines, coloring mediums, ribbon and misc embellishments.

Here she is in her pj's crafting!

And this is the project she is currently working on.  She said the owls are flying. :)

Thanks for hanging in there with me today!  I hope you enjoyed the tour!  Have a great weekend!
