Happy Birthday Laura! (and a One Day Sale!)

Today is Laura Pryor's 40th birthday, the owner of Lil' Inker Designs (and it is also my dad's birthday too)!  It is also the 6th year Anniversary of Lil' Inker Designs!  To celebrate her special days the design team has put together a SURPRISE (!!!!) blog hop in her honor to showcase our favorite cards made with her products!  Laura is one of the sweetest, funnest (yeah, I know it's not a word, but Laura loves those kind of words!!) and most creative people! She has a heart of gold!  It was such a joy to meet her in person a few years ago (I adore her accent!) and I hope that it won't be the last time we meet! What a honor it is to serve on her team!

And in honor of her special day there is also a ONE DAY sale today only!  Place a $100 order and get 40% off!  So that's a $100 order for only $60!!  The details are below.

It was a lot of fun looking through my gallery of projects!  Here are a few of my favorites!

Congrats on Your Retirement!

Hey everyone!  I have a bright card to share with you today!

Jen Carter Sunburst Retirement 1

I'm excited how this card turned out.  I used the Wrapper's Delight: Sunburst die cut with vellum.  I embossed the sentiment from a great sentiment set, Go Confidently, with red embossing powder.  How many times I needed a retirement stamp but didn't have the right thing in my stash I can't count!  I love that this set gives me so many mix & match sentiment options and it works perfectly on the sunburst die!

To attach the vellum, I just wrapped the ends of the piece where the sentiment is embossed around to the back side of the cardstock and attached where you can't see it!  I love that it is hidden!  For the dotted edges I used the Dual Dotted Rectangle Dies that I seem to reach for all of the time now and trimmed one strip to use as a border on the card.  I felt like it worked well with the confetti patterned paper.

I'm entering this card at the Curtain Call's Challenge: Celebrate.

I'm also entering this in the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge Anything Goes.

Thank you so stopping by!
