Little Birds

I have another card to share with you using the same colors I used yesterday.  This one is based on the Card Patterns Sketch #98.  I loved this sketch from the moment I saw it and immediately put it on my card making to-do list!

This one is a little different for me, sort of vintagey.  I stamped the bird cage from My Cute Stamps "Ashley's Blossoms" set and then cut it out.  Yes.  I did say that.  I cut it out!!  Hard to believe I know! :)  I also cut out all 3 of the butterflies!! Getting a little ambitious, huh?  All of the butterflies have been colored over with my Spica clear glitter pen so they are very sparkly in real life!! The bird cage is layered on part of a Mat Stack 4 frame that I used a woodgrain impression plate on and then ran my VersaMark pad over the top of to define the lines.

Here is the sketch that this card is based on.

Fun huh!!

Here's another look at the colors I used from the Curtain Call Challenge:

I hope you enjoyed this card! It means a lot to me that you took the time to visit!! Have a nice weekend!

Praying For You

I loved the colors so much from last week's Curtain Call Color Challenge Act 62 that I had to make another card using them!

I just love these snowflake stamps from My Cute Stamps...had to use them again! :)  And of course that twine and the pom poms are on the top of my favorites list too right now!

I love how the snowflakes look on the embossed cardstock.  When I saw this embossing folder from Sizzix, the first thing I thought of was that it would be fun to use with snowflakes to show "movement".   Maybe I'm crazy but I like the flowing that the embossing adds.

Well, that's all I have for you today.  I'm keeping this post super short and simple!  Happy New Year everyone!!  Thanks for coming by!
