New Space Themed Stamps & Dies! (with video)

I am excited to share with you a new product assortment that is now available from Frantic Stamper. I am especially excited about this one because I was able to help with the concept and idea.  I did not do any of the designing, just the brainstorming! :)  Kathy did an excellent job of putting all of the pieces together and I think you'll find this set very versatile.

I have made quite a few cards to share with you over the next few weeks but today I am going to start by sharing a video (that shows several of the cards) that I created showcasing the products and two cards, one masculine & one feminine.

I wanted to show how you can create both feminine and masculine cards with this set. Let's start with a more traditional masculine card.

I started this card with the blue background.  I sponged blue distress inks around the top of the cardstock to create the night sky.  I used VersaMark ink to stamp the stars & milky way swirl from the new The Final Frontier clear polymer stamp set on the background.   After that I started building the rest of the scene.  I started by applying a couple cloud layers cut with the new Stitched Cloud Edgers dies (set of 3).  I didn't adhere the tops of the clouds so that they could be slightly "puffy" on the card for dimension.  I stamped the mix & match sentiment from the new Sentiments from Space stamp set on the clouds.

I die cut the rocket, the smoke cloud & the fire with the crazy fun and new Rocket Launch die set (set of 4).  I cut the top of the cone off of the rocket with a few snips (easy to do because there is a line cut into the die there) and added a red nose cone for contrast.  I also mixed & matched the window & the dots on the front.  I stamped the window with one of the 6 window options in the new The Final Frontier clear polymer stamp set.  The great big earth/planet is die cut from the previously released Planet Earth die that I think is super cool!

Now for a feminine, Valentiney card!

I cut this rocket from the Rocket Launch die set from patterned paper and for the window I placed vellum behind the cut out. I popped the rocket up with dimensionals. I also cut the tip off of the nose cone and used red cardstock for the tip and for the dots on front.  For the background I used a previously released die called Heartfall.  It made a great background for a love themed/Valentine-like card! I used pink glitter paper behind the cut out hearts.

I used the swirl die cut from the new Outer Space Die Set (set of 7 dies) to make a rocket trail and also die cut the planet included in that same die set.  The sentiment I used is one of my most FAVORITE because it is one I say to my kids all the time!  It is from the Sentiments from Space stamp set.  I embossed the sentiment directly on the gray cardstock and then embossed the "moon" on a piece of vellum that I attached with dimensionals.

Celebrate (and warm up!) with a Cup

I'm writing this post on Sunday after spending the morning at church.  This afternoon was a nice lazy, (COLD) Sunday afternoon and after a few weeks of dealing with a cold and congestion it was just what the doctor ordered!  Since I'm sitting here sipping a nice cup of coffee flavored with Peppermint Mocha creamer (my favorite!) I thought it was a good time to share a card I made using Lil' Inker Designs new and updated Coffee Cozy stamps & dies!

I used the new & updated die set Coffee Cozy Dies to cut out the coffee cup, cozy & cup lid.  It was fun choosing all of the patterns for this and I love that you can mix & match to your hearts content!

I stamped the sentiment on the strips from the new & updated Coffee Cozy Stamps.  This new stamp set has lots of great sentiment choices as well as some small images.  I used one of the two steam images for this card.  I really like the stitched look of this one!

A Perfect Puzzle Match

I have two cards to share today.  Both are very similar, just slightly different.

I think that this heart die from Frantic Stamper is adorable!! I love that the two heart pieces fit together so perfectly!!  The hearts are from a die set called Heart Puzzle that retails for only $5.99!

To start the cards, I die cut each side of the heart twice from different patterned paper.  I stamped the "me", "you" and "&" on a piece of patterned paper that I had die cut with the Elementals #1 die set (for the frame) and then adhered the hearts with dimensionals.  I stamped the larger sentiment that is from the same stamp set I used before called Puzzle Me.

This second card is almost the same thing, just with different spacing and I used a different background paper.

You're a Gem

Happy New Year!! I trust you all had a nice time with family & friends celebrating Christmas & New Years!  It sure went by fast!

Today, I want to share a card & tag that I made using products available from Lil' Inker Designs.  

I started by die cutting various sizes of the Stitched Mats: Long & Skinny Rectangles from patterned paper.  I then cut them apart and popped them up with dimensionals so that I could stamp my sentiment from the Girl's Best Friends stamp set.  

I cut the Girl's Best Friend Diamond Die out of silver glittered fun foam and attached.  I tied twine from The Twinery around one of the panels on the card and added sequins.

I used the leftover fun foam inserts (from the card above) for this next tag.

I started my tag by die cutting the tag shape with the Anytime Tags 2 die.  I really find this tag set gets quite a bit of use!  I then stamped the sentiment from the Girl's Best Friends stamp set.

For the diamond, I die cut the Girl's Best Friend Diamond Die shape from silver cardstock and then used the foam pieces that I didn't use for the card above inside the silver cutout.  I really like the dimension it gave!
