"Little Cupcake" Blog Hop

It's time for another TAC blog hop! This time the stamp set that we are suppose to use is from the new Serendipity Magalogue called "Little Cupcake" a personal favorite of mine!

So, without further ado, here's my cards.

This pink & brown one was my favorite of the three! I tied the ribbon through the holes in the button. Loved how that turned out. I used watercolor pencils to color the image and then added stickles on top of part of the frosting. The pink polka dotted paper is from the TAC Catelynne collection. I love it!!

The cupcake image in this card was colored using Prismacolor colored pencils & gamasol odorless mineral spirits & then popped up with pop dots. The pink Mia paper was crimped with a paper crimper. The polka dots on the bottom are from the TAC "Linear Sentiments" stamp set.

This was my least favorite of the three. The patterned paper is TAC Cha Cha. I also tied the ribbon through the button holes on this one. The yellow paper is from the new Scalloped paper pack that TAC is carrying.
These were all cards that I had entered into the TAC Terrific Trio contest but they weren't winners! Oh well, maybe next time! I hope you enjoyed them!

Roundup Swaps

I attended an event in Salina, KS last weekend called Kansas Roundup for TAC Angels. I wanted to share some of the card swaps that I received and the one that I gave out.

The card shown above was the swap card that I started to make. I soon realized however that attaching 60 yellow buttons (and finding 60 yellow buttons of the correct size proved difficult too!) was going to take a while! So, I opted for version two, shown below.

The stamp set is none other than the "Victorian Elements" that you've been seeing a lot of on my blog lately. The sentiment is from "Little Things". This card measures 4x4.

I received about 50 or so swap cards from other Angels, so there is no way that I can share them ALL with you but here is a small sampling of what I got.

Laurie Willison

Diane Hershberger

Elaine Winstead (Isn't her coloring gorgeous?)

Julie Griffith (This is made using the April Stamp of the Month)

Heather Scott

Marie Gruenberger (Card Closed)

Marie Gruenberger (Card Open--How Clever)

Beverly Rocky

Karla McConnell

Christine Bennett

Gloria Albertson

Debi Urbanek

Diane Hershberger

Aren't these swaps all great? I thought they were and I wanted to share them with you too! Quite a few of them were made from new stamp sets featured in the Serendipity Magalogue so if you don't have your own copy yet and would like one, they are $3. Let me know if you *need* one!!

Beyond Grateful Card Sets

It's a snowing, blowing mess outside and so instead of doing much needed house work, I spent the afternoon at my craft table and worked on a set of cards. I have several thank you's to send out and after this weekend at the TAC Kansas Roundup in Salina I was inspired by one of the projects to make these cards.

Here is the outside of the original project designed by Heather Scott. It is a folio with a checklist on the inside.

I LOVED the design of the folio and so I adapted it for a card...or two...or eight. I basically used the same design and challenged myself to use the same similar pieces on each card but yet make each card slightly different than the others. Here's what I came up with (bare with me as there are A LOT of pictures!!).

Here is a closeup of the image popped up on pop dots.

The cardstock paper is TAC's Kraft Cardstock (GREAT stuff!!) and the patterned paper is from TAC's Toodle Loo & Angelee Paper Packs. The sentiment is from the TAC "More Abundance" stamp set and the circle image is from TAC's "Forever Family". Each of the pieces has been distressed using Burnt Umber Palette Ink & a sponge. The main image was stamped with either Spring Pansy or Aloe Vera VersaMagic or Seascape Palette ink. The image on the purple cardstock (from TAC Puples paper pack) is from the TAC "Victorian Elements" set and it has been stamped with VersaMark onto the cardstock. I LOVE this new set!!
