Today the team is focusing on three stamp sets. I Scream You Scream from Catherine Pooler and Little Lady & Little GentIeman by Ellen Hutson. With those sets I made a wobbler card which is always a fun surprise to pull out of an envelope!
I started by stamping & die cutting the Little Lady & Little GentIeman and then coloring them with copics. I also stamped & die cut the ice cream truck from the I Scream You Scream stamp set and then colored it lightly with copics. I kept the colors of the truck soft and simple so that it wouldn't be competing too much with the little people. Of course the little lady & gentleman needed some ice cream so I stamped, die cut & colored those with copics. Those images are from the I Scream You Scream stamp set also and are perfectly sized for this little characters.
You can see from this picture how I attached the images. I wanted to have a little bit of dimension between the ice cream truck and the characters so I used dimensional tape to attach them on top of the truck. This helped it look like they were standing in front of the truck. Then I attached the wobbler to the truck.
Tip for Crafting on the Go: I made the background very simple so it wouldn't distract from the characters by stamping repeatedly the happy & hooray sentiments from the Little Lady set and the star bundle from the I Scream You Scream stamp set. Making simple backgrounds like these are easy to do on the go! If you are looking for something easy to do while you are waiting or at the pool, at a game, etc bring some black ink and small stamps and make backgrounds for future cards! I put these all on one block so it went very quickly. I love making my own B&W backgrounds!
