Born to Be Wild: Sneak of Catherine Pooler One Plus One Release

There's a new release coming soon to the Catherine Pooler Designs store called One Plus One!  The design team has been showing sneak peeks and today I'm sharing my first peek!  The new products will be in the store for ordering on Wednesday, July 22nd at 9 AM ET or if you are a StampNation Member you get to order early on Monday, July 20th at Noon ET!

This card I'm sharing today was so much fun to put together! I thought outside the box on this one and wanted "stacked" animals using the new Born to Be Wild Stamps and also fun colored animals since the theme is born to be WILD!  😀😉  So instead of stacking the animals I decided that hanging them from a moon would be fun also!  And I used a slim line card size so I could easily fit them all on one card front. 

I stamped my cute animals using the brand new, super cute stamp set called Born to Be Wild and then die cut them with the coordinating Born to Be Wild dies.  For the background I used the Starry Night Cover Plate and die cut the blue paper twice and then backed it with cardstock colored yellow.  

The animals are stamped with these ink colors:

Zebra: Flirty Fuchsia & Orange Peel

Lion (he's my favorite!!): Fiesta Blue & Flirty Fuchsia

Rhino: Lime Rickey

Monkey: Samba

Bird: Orange Peel & then I colored his beak with Lime Rickey

I added a few features to my animals (which are all popped up with dimensional tape).  I put a bow on the rhino that was die cut using the Put a Bow on it Dies.  I put glasses on the lion that I die cut using the Pet Spec Dies. So fun!!  

To create the moon I ink blended a piece of Premium White Cardstock (this is a great cardstock to ink blend on because it is so smooth) using a combination of Limoncello & Tiara inks & then die cut it with one of the Circle Dies.  I then took that same circle die and cut off a piece of the circle to make it look like a moon.  The sentiment comes from the Born to Be Wild Stamp Set.  

If you don't make baby cards, don't worry!  This set makes great birthday cards too!  If you are looking for a good birthday set for kids or for masculine cards....well, here you go!  I had so much fun playing with these animals and also the Oh Baby stamps that are part of this new release also which I will share on my blog soon.
