Welcome to Day 2 of the new Catherine Pooler Release, Kind of Batty! All of the products are currently available in the store and you can see all of the newly released products here. Yesterday on my blog I shared cards with the new roses & leaves stamp sets. Today we are going in a totally different direction with a Halloween theme.
New Ink Colors
Oh! Did you hear that there are three new ink pads that were just released in neutral colors? YAY!! Twilight, Sand Castle & Over Coffee.
For this card I was totally inspired by the 3 stripes in the Spooky Hollow stamp set. I think that they are steps but I saw them as great background potential! I stamped them repeatedly on my cardstock in Grape Crush, Lime Rickey & Orange Twist inks. I then die cut the piece with the Postage Stamps die set. I stamped the house, moon & bats from the same stamp set and die cut them with the coordinating Spooky Hollow die set. The sentiment was stamped in Grape Crush ink and is from the Everything but the Broom stamp set.
I also added a little action wobbler to the house to add movement and an interactive element. You can see it in action in the video above.
Spooky Creepy Glow in the Dark
There's no better time to make a glow in the dark card then for Halloween!
Spooky Creepy Glow in the Dark
There's no better time to make a glow in the dark card then for Halloween!
For this card I started by stamping the Going Batty Background stamp in Midnight ink onto purple cardstock. I then die cut it with the Who's There Cover Plate. I took a piece of Midnight cardstock and embossed where the eyes would be with Glow in the Dark embossing powder. I then stamped the sentiment from the Everything but the Broom stamp set and added some enamel dots to finish it off.
I learned that it is REALLY DIFFICULT to get a good picture of a card that is glowing in the dark. So sorry about the poor quality but hopefully you get the idea of what it looks like when it glows.
Keep Hopping
