Layering Color Combo Guide with Catherine Pooler Inks

Hello! I wanted to share with you a project that I've been working on that I hope you'll find helpful! If you have followed my blog for long, you know how much I LOVE Catherine Pooler’s inks! Out of all the inks I’ve ever had (and I have MANY!) they are my favorite! As I was stamping and also visiting with friends I would often wish I had a guide for what colors layer well together. So I've worked to put one together! 

I hope that this helps you as you play with different color combinations and helps you make decisions as you purchase your ink colors (although I recommend getting them all!!). 😁  I find that sometimes when I don’t think that colors will layer well they truly surprise me with how beautiful they look together!  You'll never know until you try!

I tried to get the colors as true to life as possible in this guide, but all monitors are different so I apologize in advance if a color is not exactly what you expected as you stamp. The colors can also be different based on if they need to be reinked or not. During this process I did reink a few of my pads so some colors may be brighter on some samples and lighter on others. Also, I didn’t do a great job in keeping all of the sample colors together so you may find random colors mixed in where they don’t belong. When I first starting stamping this I didn't realize I was going to do so many and then share them!  Maybe some day I’ll reorganize them. LOL! I also stamped a few color combinations twice...I just lost track!

The stamp set that I used for this guide is called Faithful Flutterings and I chose this one because it has 3 layers.  I know that I didn't cover every possible layering option, and especially didn't cover all layering options for 3 color-combos but hopefully this will still serve as a good reference point. (I also think that Catherine is working on some layering options as well so you might soon have 2 guides to help you along the way!)
