You Did It!
I'm always looking for fun but easy cards to use for graduation. This year I'm thinking ahead because we have quite a few that we'll be attending this year. I like cards that I can mass produce but also use school cards on each one to individualize them as needed.
Our school colors are orange and black so I knew I wanted to use those colors for this card. As I was looking at the gorgeous floral stamps in the Perfect Reason stamp set I start visualizing how I could use this set differently and this card was created. I used the pieces to the flowers for different elements on the background stamping them in black & Orange Twist ink. I took a piece of Midnight cardstock & embossed the fun sentiment from the You Did It! stamp set in white and attached it to the panel with dimensional tape. For the right edge of the card I used a small piece of Black Tie Gala patterned paper.
Wedding Congrats
I have a wedding to attend next weekend and so this card was made with that in mind. Again as I was looking at the stamps I wanted to use them in an unexpected way.
I started by stamping the Congrats from the You Did It! Stamp set in the middle of my card panel with All that Jazz Ink. I stamped over that again, using my Misti, with VersaMark ink and embossed it using the best embossing powder Wanderlust. I just love how you can still see the ink underneath but it adds a layer of glitter over the top! I then used quite a few of the stamps in the Paisley Peacock stamp set to stamp the paisleys & leaves around the outside edge of the panel. I used a BG49 copic marker to add a touch of color to the inside of the leaf-like image. For the middle layer I cut a piece of white cardstock a part and layered it on top of a Midnight cardstock base. I attached the Congrats panel to the top with dimensional tape.
