It's time to celebrate friends with a NEW Stamp of Approval Box from Catherine Pooler! Welcome to Day 1 of the blog hop featuring this fantastic collection of celebration goodies! For the first time ever you get to pick what is in your box! Do you want coffee...or tea...or both? And there's some add-ons that you will also want to grab a hold of too! This collection will be available on Tuesday, April 24th!
Introducing the Celebrate Friends Collection
This Stamp of Approval box is packed FULL of great products. And guess what? There is a NEW INK color (the actual color is a surprise!) included in the collection! Yippee!!
If you are unsure what the Stamp of Approval Box is, it is a quarterly hand picked, exclusive collection of products that were designed just for the box. The stamps, dies and other fun products in the Stamp of Approval Collection won’t be released for individual sale for several months over at the Catherine Pooler store.
Be sure to subscribe to the Wait List so you will be emailed the purchase link when the collection goes on sale on April 24th! These boxes do sell out quickly so if you want I'd suggest getting it now or it may be gone!
Yay! Hooray! Celebrate!
My favorite stamp set in the collection is probably the one I used to create this first card called Punctuated Party stamp set. There are so many fun possibilities with this set!
I love the color combo on this card. Something a little different for me and unexpected and it just works with these stamps. I used Juniper Mist (this is such a pretty blue!), Party Dress, Lime Rickey, Sauna & It's a Girl to stamp the 1/2 circles on White Premium cardstock. I offset each one as I stamped. After I completed the pattern I added in some black dots from the same set. The cute speech bubble and YAY! are also stamps in the set.
For the bottom portion of the card I die cut the super cute Hooray & Celebrate word dies from the collection out of Catherine Pooler Vellum (I love the thickness of this vellum, it is perfect!) and attached them over the top of the background.
What is in YOUR Cup?
Each of the team members was sent either the tea collection or the coffee collection to work with. I am representing Team Tea! I don't usually drink hot tea but I do love cold peach tea...have you tried the peach tree at Olive Garden? YUM!
I love, love, love the photos where cups are stacked and knew when I first saw the set that that was something I wanted to do with this set. The tea cups in this set are so cute!
I started by using the Scattered Circles Stencil in the collection. I inked it up with Sweet Sixteen, Mint to Be, Shea Butter & It's a Girl making sure to overlap the colors slightly to help with flow. I die cut the tea cuts & tea pot with the add-on Cuppa Tea Dies (I totally recommend getting these, it'll make cutting out the handles so much easier!!) and then stamped the mugs & tea pot with the same colors. There's possibly a new ink color somewhere on this card, can you find it? :)
I stamped the sentiment on white cardstock with Sweet Sixteen & Mint to Be ink, masking off the "solves" so I could stamp it in 2 colors. This was super easy to do using the Misti. That cute little aqua border is a border die included in the collected called Bordering Sweet dies (there's 2 in the set).

Very pretty soft colors for your stack of tea cups and pot. I like how you did all types of colors with punctuated party stamps off setting them and then using the black dots to tie them all together.
ReplyDeleteI must really be thinking about Disney movies today because your tea card reminds me of the tea party in Alice in Wonderland. I like how you stacked the tea cups.
ReplyDeleteThese are beautiful! I love the color combo on the first card!
ReplyDeleteNOT A TEA FAN BUT THIS CARD MAKES ME WANNA TRY SOME LOL! SWEET CARD!
ReplyDeleteLoving both of these! I like that first color combo too and I like the look of not trying to match the sides into circles. Cute!
ReplyDeleteLove those stacked cups! I’m thinking I’m definately team tea! Beautiful cards Jen!
ReplyDeletei love the way you separated the circles, it creates a unique look and by adding the vellum dies it sort of plays tricks on my eyes. The stacked cups are adorable as well.
ReplyDeleteI've never used vellum to cut out a sentiment - works great! Both your cards show off your creativity - love the stacked tea cups!

ReplyDeleteI love the way you offset the half circles!
ReplyDeleteHi Jen, Off-setting the half-circles adds to the wonkiness and pure fun of your first card. Adding the die-cut sentiments ensures they don't overwhelm the background, but they get their message across!
ReplyDeleteYour cup-stacking is brilliant. Love the matching background of dots, too. I see the new colour...perfect for this collection.
What a fun idea to send you just one or the other of the teach/coffee sets!
Thanks for the inspiration!
