Up, Up & Away...Boats?
I was playing with my PTI "Up, Up & Away" stamps yesterday and discovered that if you just stamp part of the kite stamp it looks like a boat! What is even cooler about this was that earlier in the day I had cut some felt with the eyelet border die and the leftover piece I had looked like waves. I wasn't sure what I would do with it, since I don't have boat stamps (that I can think of anyway) but I set it aside for later. And, amazingly I actually had a use for it that very day!!
Here's a closeup of the "boats". I stamped the bottoms at the edge of the kraft cardstock and then covered the bottom with the felt. Doesn't that sunshine impression plate add to the "oceany" feel?
I LOVE finding non-conventional ways to use my stamps! This just adds one more way to use this already versatile set...oh, and I LOVE those clouds too and find I want to use them in everything.
Thanks for coming by! Hope you liked this card!
