Fun with Banners
I LOVE, LOVE all the banners I've seen around lately! My biggest PTI wish right now is a build-your-own banner set!! I'd love that so much!! I know other companies also have banner sets and I might cave if PTI doesn't come out with one but I just LOVE how PTI makes their sets and the thought that goes into the various elements and how all the elements work together!
Earlier this week I showed you how I used the Up, Up & Away set to make a boat. Now, I've used it to create my banner! Today I am on a getaway with Amy, Barb & Laurie and we were each to make a shoebox swap project. This is the one that I came up with. Hope they like it!
I stamped the kite image on white paper and then cut out the top triangles to make the banner. I attached each one with a glue dot so that they could have a little "movement" on the bottom and then also attached the pearl at the tip.
Thanks for stopping by today!! I hope you enjoyed this card!! Have a great weekend!
Supplies (all PTI unless noted)
Stamps: Up, Up & Away, Signature Greetings
Paper: Melon Berry, Aqua Mist, Kraft, White
Ink: Melon Berry, Aqua Mist, Simply Chartreuse, Jumbo Java VersaMagic
Other: White pearls, SC Buttons, Vintage Twine, Sunshine Embossing Plate
PTI doesn't need to come out with a banner set now Jen! Thay have YOU showing us how to make do without it! lol
ReplyDeleteSeriously though, this is adorable and very clever. It's perfect for a shoebox swap.
This is really cute, love the banner you've created!!
ReplyDeleteAren't you a clever one!!! Thanks for sharing! I love the the card.

ReplyDeleteOh how wonderful that you girls live close enough to get together! I hope you had a wonderful time. You are very clever on how you created the banner, I love it. I have been noticing cute banner stuff as well lately. I seen a digital image somewhere. But just this morning I seen an adorable card and tutorial using the Pink Persimmon set. I have to enable you :

You can stamp the inside with all these different pattern options and then the outside seperately. They actually have another banner set as well. If I could afford it, I would have ordered it immediately, too cute.
First a boat...now a banner! Very cool. I love this set too and can't wait to use all of your great ideas! :)
ReplyDeleteLOVE this banner card, Jen! It's just perfect in every way!

ReplyDeleteYour banner looks so cute! Love your color combo and the tiny pearls on the tips. Jen, you really rock that stamp set again and again!! Can't wait to finally get mine :) Have a fabulous week!

ReplyDeleteLove, love, love this! I've been dying to make a banner card & hadn't even thought of using the kite. Great idea! I have to ask though - what is a shoebox swap? Sounds intriguing!
ReplyDeleteThis is too adorable! So sad I didn't get to make it! I am going to come over soon just for a Make-n-take! :)
ReplyDeleteOh my cuteness! I am SO with you in my love of banners. I even purchased a triangle punch from Big Lots last week when I saw it for next to nothing just so I can make some mini patterned paper banners. Love this card!
ReplyDeleteLove it!! I just did the same, isn't this set the greatest!?
ReplyDeleteJust found your blog and you have so many fun ideas! I've loved PTI for a long time, and was thinking they already had a banner set of some kind, so I went looking on the website to see. They don't have a set that is JUST banners, but It's a Celebration - http://www.papertreyink.com/stamps_itsacelebration.html - has a small banner that's customizable, along with some other fun sentiments and images. Just in case you can't wait for them to come out with something else... ;)
ReplyDeleteSo cute. I really like that little pearl on the end of each banner - just perfect!
