March Angel Art: Think Spring

It's time for another blog hop! This time the theme is Think Spring. The challenge was to create a card, scrapbook layout, etc that has a "Springtime" theme. We used current TAC stamps and products.

I decided to share several cards that I had entered into a TAC contest (I didn't win) using the new Hoppity Skippity stamp set featured in the Serendipity magalogue. I LOVE this new stamp set! It is soooo fun! I forgot how much fun it was to color images but boy, it IS great!!

The first card, shown above, is my favorite! I love the paper pieced egg using TAC's Toodle Loo paper. I colored the bunny with watercolor pencils and a dove blender.

Here's the paper pieced egg. It uses 4 sections of the Toodle Loo paper.

This next card is one we made at my open house. If you were there, you probably have one or saw this one already. I used Fun Flock and a glue pen to make the lamb fuzzy. How fun is that?? What child (or adult!!) wouldn't LOVE to get a card with FUZZ on it. Did you know that one way babies brains develop is through touch and feel? So, send a fuzzy card to a child and by feeling the textures he/she will be developing their brain!

The swirls on the purple cardstock were made by using the top portion of the swirly tree stamp from the "Spring Time" set and VersaMark ink. Now that's versatility!

You can see the "fuzz" of the fun flock a little closer here.

This last card is a puffy lamb that I made using liquid applique. Another fun technique! After I puffed the lamb up, I took a paint brush and ran it over my burnt umber palette ink pad and then lightly brushed it on top of the lamb to give him a little more brownish tint. This lamb has been out playing! The patterned paper is TAC's Rustic Chic.

Here is another shot of the lamb's dimension and you can see how I "painted" him a little better as well.

Don't forget to visit these other TAC Angel's blogs as well. They are also featuring a "Think Spring" project today as well!
