Fun with New Stamps!!

I am sorry that it has been so long since I've updated! Time just goes by so fast sometimes! I wanted to share with you a few cards that I've made using a few of the new stamp sets!

These first two cards were made using the "It's Always Springtime" stamp as the main focal image. I love, love, love this stamp set. It is just gorgeous!

On this first card, I used the squiggles from the "Salsa Flowers" set on Matchmakers paper which has a white core and stamped the image in Versamark and then sanded over the images so that the squiggles popped out. The main image is stamped with Mango Madness VersaMagic Chalk ink. The wonderful thing about this stamp set is that it was designed to be used with the Mega Clever Lever Square Punch that is in the TAC catalog. I also outlined the square with a blue VersaMagic ink to help it stand out. I finished off the green rectangle by paper piercing (fun, fun!!) a small corner border.

Here is another sample using the exact same focal image stamp as in the card above. See how different of a look you can achieve with even the SAME stamp?

On this one, I used the same Mango Madness VersaMagic ink to stamp the flower square and then I took my Shimmers Chalk (love this chalk too!!) and added dimension to the solid part of the image. I then took my dove blender and chalk and carefully colored in the flower image. It gives it a totally differnt look! The background flower on the green cardstock is stamped in VersaMark with the "Blooming Builders" set and the pink tag is from the new TAC "Mimi" paper pack.

Here a couple more cards that I just made today after seeing a card that Heidi made. Click here to see her card. When I saw the beauty and simplicity of her card I knew that I wanted to make a version like it. Both of these cards use the "Blooming Builders" stamp set and VersaMagic Chalk inks. They both turned out very simple, yet elegent. The words are from "Whimsical Greetings" (rejoice) and "Soft Spoken" (always). I paper pierced the lines that form the border around the flowers.

I am working on another post that will feature my very first Guest Designer, Laurie Willison. I think that you will love her work! That will be coming in the next few days so be sure to watch for it!
